    Wordle 393: July 17, 2022 Hints & Answer

Another great Wordle word is primed and ready for players to successfully guess. Here are the daily hints, and full answer, to July 17th Wordle.

July 17th has a new Wordle for all fans of the once-a-day word guessing game, and today’s puzzle shouldn’t be too much of a threat to players’ long-standing win streaks. For those who prefer a harder challenge Wordle does provide a Hard Mode that can be activated through the options menu. This mode forces players to use previously given hints by locking out letters that have been proven incorrect and forcing usage of letters proven correct. This is a great method for lowering the number of guesses it takes to get a Wordle answer correct since the player has to use more critical thinking and not rely on random words that just get a lot of popular letters out of the way.

If players are looking for an even more difficult challenge they may want to turn to the increasing number of Wordle copycats. Quordle is one that stands out the most by having players complete four Wordle puzzles at the exact same time, each guess is pushed into the four different games and players must balance which game they are attempting at anytime or suffer losing them all at once. Other notable copycats are Heardle, which is a one-note-at-a-time song guessing game, or Squabble, which turns Wordle into a battle royale-type game.

    Today’s Wordle Answer (July 17th #393)

    Wordle 393 Jul 17th Attempt

The July 17th Wordle answer is WACKY.

For our starting Wordle word today we used IRATE which only provided a single misplaced ‘A’ and a lot of incorrect letters. For our second guess, we went with GASSY and ended up moving the ‘A’ to the correct positions, adding some more incorrect letters, and finding a correctly placed ‘Y. For our third guess, we tried to check out some more obscure letters and went with LANKY, this locked in the ‘K’ and led us quickly to get a win-in-four with WACKY. Today’s Wordle was a nice change of pace with it being a fun common word that has some unique letters in it. How did your guesses compare to ours?
