This viral makeup trend on TikTok comes from the word “douyin“, aka the Chinese term used to refer to the TikTok app. Surely you have not forgotten that TikTok originates from China, right? In other words, the douyin makeup trend is a TikTok makeup trend itself!
What is Douyin makeup trend?
The trend combination between makeup techniques preferred by Asian girls, such as sun-kissed and blushed cheeks (nose and chin too!), clear and glassy skin, big and dolly eye-makeup, and plumpy red lips.
Tips to get Douyin makeup:
1. Dewy makeup base
Similar to the Korean makeup look, Douyin makeup also focuses on dewy and healthy skin-looking. Choose makeup base with a satin or dewy finish to get more flawless look.
If you have oily skin type, you can finish by adding translucent powder to the parts of your face that get oily easily. To add a highlight, you can use a concealer with a color one level lighter than the foundation under the eyes, nose bone and chin.
2. Natural eyebrow
To achieve the more natural makeup look, use an natural colored eyebrow pencil or one shade with the original eyebrow. Apply a thin layer to fill in the eyebrows. Shade thin eyebrows from the middle to the tip of the eyebrows. Then, tidy up the eyebrows with a spoolie brush.
If you have thick eyebrows, you can use browcara to style your eyebrows so that the results look really natural but still shaped and neat.
3. Rosy cheeks blushed on
Another key to douyin makeup is blushing cheeks to create the cutier looks. Use a rosy powder or cream blush on that matches the color of the eyeshadow and lipstick around the cheekbones towards the center a bit.
