Chris Hemsworth is reprising his iconic role as Thor in Avengers: Doomsday, but had to bargain with a significant co-star.
The original Avengers actor’s real daughter, India Rose Hemsworth, also reprises her role as Thor’s adoptive daughter. But as her father said during his appearance on The View on Wednesday, she wasn’t pleased to be there this time. “And she walks on set, and she’s like ‘How long is this gonna take?’ [..] Just this angsty, sort of teenager attitude,” said the elder Hemsworth.
“In the end I had to bribe her to come onto set,” he continued. “She’s like ‘I’m not coming, I’m not even getting paid, what am I doing here?’” He then clarified that she was getting paid, but that the money was being set aside until she turned 18, and had to negotiate further regarding whether India would be able to afford the motorbike she wanted. “So, a slight negotiation, and then off she went,” said Hemsworth.
Bart Layton, the director of Hemsworth’s new movie Crime 101 (which releases theatrically on Friday), then joked, “Like father, like daughter.“
