The Bachelor alum Peter Weber has turned down appearing on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, as he could not come to an agreement on a contract.
Peter Weber has confirmed that while he had originally planned to appear on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, he was unable to go through with it as he could not settle on a contract. Peter first appeared on the franchise during The Bachelorette season 15, led by interior designer Hannah Brown. While Hannah and Peter did form a strong connection, he ultimately placed third behind Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt. Peter was then chosen as the lead of The Bachelor season 24, which gave viewers a new look into the California pilot’s life.
Peter’s season of The Bachelor was anything but simple. At the end of the season, he became engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss, after Madison Prewett left as a result of being unable to forgive Peter for sleeping with other women during fantasy suites. During the finale, it was revealed that Peter and Hannah Ann had broken off their engagement, and that he had reconciled with Madison and begun a relationship with her post filming. Several days later, things ended for Peter and Madison as well. He eventually began another relationship with Kelley Flanagan, an attorney who had placed sixth on his season, although this relationship also ended.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Peter revealed that he did not proceed with appearing on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 as a result of a contract dispute. Peter admitted that he had even requested the days off from work, as he was so set on traveling down to Mexico to give Paradise a shot. Peter stated “We just couldn’t agree on a contract at the end of the day is what it came down to.” While Peter did not provide specifics on the contract details, it appears that this was the deal-breaker in The Bachelor alum choosing not to give the franchise another shot.
Peter also indicated that there was a specific girl in mind he had hoped to meet in Paradise. While he did not reveal a name, he did confirm that the girl had appeared on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. Peter also stated that the mystery girl had been the main reason he had been intrigued to venture down to Mexico. As the majority of women set to appear on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 had appeared on Clayton’s season, there is no shortage of possibilities as to who the mystery woman could be.
When it comes to Bachelor Nation, there is always a surprise or twist. While Peter may not appear on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, it is very possible that he could still be featured on a future spin-off or meet another franchise alum off screen. While he has not quite succeeded in it yet, it is clear from Peter’s time on the show that he is passionate about finding love. Perhaps Peter will find his happily ever after soon after all.
