Fast X: Part 2 gets a confusing new update from Ludacris as he reunites with Fast & Furious cast members for a Super Bowl ad. After the release of Fast X in 2023, it’s been confirmed that Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his crew of drivers will return for at least one more installment. Social media posts from Diesel have suggested that Fast X: Part 2 filming started back in November 2024, but the actual status of the film has remained a question mark for months.
Now, Ludacris tells EW what he knows about Fast X: Part 2 filming, which is apparently that it hasn’t started yet.
“I’m waiting on updates myself, man. I wish I could give you some info, but I wouldn’t want to give you the incorrect info. All I can say for now is that I’m waiting to get it, and I know we’ve been working very long and hard on it in order for it to be what it needs to be: to be the last installment and bring everything together.”
Ludacris recently reunited with Diesel and Fast & Furious franchise costar Michelle Rodriguez for a new Häagen-Dazs Super Bowl commercial, and he reveals that he tried to get info from Diesel:
“Oh yeah, I was asking, but everybody is tightlipped, you know what I mean? No one has the true answers yet, until the studio greenlights anything.”
