Former 90 Day Fiancé cast member Memphis is furious at those who revealed her baby daughter’s name, as fans learn more about her divorce from Hamza.
Memphis Smith from 90 Day Fiancé is calling the ones who leaked her minor child’s name “spineless” amid news of her and Hamza’s divorce being confirmed. The 34-year-old Michigan woman made her reality TV debut with 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 in 2021 with 26-year-old Hamza. Memphis had flown to Tunisia to get married to Hamza after knowing him for just eight months. Memphis became pregnant within a week of their wedding. On October 5, 2021, Memphis welcomed her first baby with Hamza, and a year later, they were officially divorced.
Recently, details of 90 Day Fiancé’s Memphis Smith and Hamza’s divorce were reported online, including the name of their one-year-old daughter that the couple refused to name on social media. A furious Memphis posted a statement on her Instagram stories, where she wrote, “it is spineless to name a minor child who cannot protect herself.”
Memphis specified her daughter’s name was not released “by choice.” The 90 Day Fiancé cast member added, “it is a safety concern she is a baby.” Memphis wrote she is an adult who can defend herself. “She is defenseless and who will take ownership when my child’s safety is in jeopardy?” Memphis asked.
Why Memphis & Hamza Will Never Return To 90 Day Fiancé
90 Day Fiancé cast member Memphis explained that she chose not to speak on the topic regarding her baby as she is “no longer in the public TV environment.” Moreover, Memphis also wishes to “stay out of it.” Memphis spoke about dealing with life privately prior to these details about her and Hamza being published on the internet. “I will be releasing statements soon because enough is enough,” Memphis stressed. This does suggest that Memphis is done with 90 Day Fiancé and might never want to come back to the franchise to tell her side of the story about what really happened between her and Hamza for them to split.
In June 2022, Hamza made a shocking statement of his own using Instagram. His story was confusing, but the message was clear—Hamza had ended his relationship with both Memphis and 90 Day Fiancé. He wished all his friends a good season. And said sorry to all the TLC viewers that wanted to see him on a new season of Before the 90 Days. However, Memphis is also going through a rough patch. It was reported Memphis filed for bankruptcy just a month after her divorce from Hamza. The news is particularly surprising since she had spoken about her successful job as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and had been okay with spending money on Hamza’s visa and his expenses after he moved to the U.S., since the Tunisian 90 Day Fiancé star didn’t have a job back home.
