My Time at Sandrock has a Recycler that can be built at the Assembly Station, and it’s used to process scraps into valuable crafting materials.
The first machine to build in My Time at Sandrock is the Recycler, a crafting station that’s used to process scraps into valuable materials. A few resources will need to be gathered before the Recycler can be crafted at the Assembly Station. Additionally, the Recycler has fuel and water requirements that need to be met in order for it to run properly. If there’s insufficient fuel or water, the Recycler will stop abruptly, even if it’s in the middle of processing scrap.
As soon as the opening cutscene ends, players will be tasked in My Time at Sandrock with making a Pickhammer. Resources needed to craft early game items are easily found around the workshop. After crafting the Pickhammer, players can find and speak to Yan to continue progressing in the main story. The next assignment will be to craft a Recycler, and Yan will supply the blueprint for it.
One Recycler requires two Stone Troughs, three Wood, and two Grinding Saws, and it can be crafted from the Assembly Station at the workshop. Stone Troughs can be obtained by breaking a Dilapidated Furnace, or the material can be crafted at the worktable using Stone. Since logging is banned, the best way to gather wood is to find piles of it on the ground. A Grinding Saw needs to be crafted at the worktable and requires Stone and Dinas. Once all the necessary materials are gathered, the Recycler can be crafted at the Assembly Station.
How To Process Scrap With The Recycler In My Time At Sandrock
With the Recycler crafted, players can start using it to process scraps into better resources and crafting materials. However, before the Recycler starts working, players will need to have a sufficient amount of fuel and water in their inventory in My Time at Sandrock. The Water Tank supplies water to all of the crafting stations to cool them, so it will need to be filled periodically. Water can be crafted at the worktable using 10 Dew. Alternatively, water can be purchased from Burgess, but the price will go up after a few purchases due to the short in Sandrock.
Along with water, the Recycler requires Wood, Dregs, or Power Stones to use as fuel. Scrap processing will stop if there isn’t enough fuel in the Recycler. This crafting station is able to process Wood Scrap, Fine Wood Scrap, Stone Scrap, Copper Scrap, Mechanical Scrap, and Rubber Scrap into various crafting materials. Scraps are guaranteed to return at least one type of crafting material, but they also have a high probability to produce additional resources.
After making more progress by adventuring and crafting in My Time at Sandrock, players will be able to build a Civil Recycler. The upgraded version of this crafting station requires a Bronze Frame, a Bloodstone Saw, two Bronze Bars, one Bearing, and a Machine Upgrade Kit. The Civil Recycler can process Iron Scrap and has a higher capacity, but it will take some time to be able to build it. The Recycler is just one of several crafting stations that can be built and upgraded in My Time at Sandrock.
My Time at Sandrock is available on Steam in Early Access.
