Raquel Leviss ‘Nervous’ To Film Vanderpump Rules With James Kennedy

Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Leviss dishes on filming the upcoming season. She says she feels ‘nervous’ about interacting with James again.

Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy went through a very public breakup in Vanderpump Rules season 9, and she recently shared that she’s “nervous” to film season 10 with her former fiancé. James has been a controversial Vanderpump Rules cast member since he started as a busboy at SUR in season 3. He and former castmate Kristen Doute started dating, and their relationship was fraught with many explosive fights that finally ended in season 4. While James was affable and funny, he soon became known for his temper and sharp tongue, especially after having a few drinks.

James introduced Raquel as his girlfriend in Vanderpump Rules season 5, and fans quickly grew to love the soft-spoken former pageant queen. James and Raquel eventually moved in together, but their relationship took several hits when rumors circulated that the DJ had cheated on Raquel. James’ drinking had also gotten worse, and he frequently got into fights with his other castmates. In 2019, James made the decision to get sober, and in Vanderpump Rules season 9, he proposed to Raquel with an elaborate Coachella-themed party. However, during the reunion, Raquel shocked her castmates when she handed James back the engagement ring and they announced their breakup.

Vanderpump Rules season 10 has officially been greenlit and although the cast hasn’t started filming yet, Raquel has shared that feels apprehensive about the new season with James. She revealed on castmate Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans, “What I’m most nervous about is interacting with James again. It’s going to be a different dynamic this time and we haven’t hung out since the breakup, so it’s definitely going to be a different kind of situation than I’m used to.” However, Raquel stated that since she has gotten closer to her other castmates such as Scheana and her fiancé Brock Davies, and Ariana Madix, and she says season 10 will be “less stressful.”

Raquel weighed in on her first Vanderpump Rules season as a single woman. She confessed on Scheananigans that it will be “awkward” dating on camera, to which Scheana laughingly concurred. Raquel also shared that her goal for season 10 is to “embrace” herself and be more objective with future love interests, instead of trying to mold them into what she wants them to become. Scheana shared her enthusiasm for seeing a new Raquel in Vanderpump Rules and told her castmate that she has seen exponential growth since her breakup with James.

While Raquel is playing the field as of now, James has settled down with his new girlfriend, Ally Lewber, just weeks after the Vanderpump Rules stars’ split. Raquel has admitted to feeling taken aback that James had moved on so quickly but also acknowledged that she had been the one to leave him. However, she shared that being single isn’t a bad thing and hinted that he could have used the time to focus on himself and heal from their breakup. Raquel has been linked with SUR manager Peter Madrigal and Shahs of Sunset’s Nima Vand, but the Vanderpump Rules star plans on remaining single for a while.
