Resident Evil Meets PT In New Horror You Can Try Free Now

Resident Evil Meets PT In New Horror You Can Try Free Now

Escaping from a sprawling mansion while trying to hold on to your deteriorating mind sounds familiar, right? As with all good horror games, exploring the dark recesses of the mind while throwing an onslaught of uncomfortable imagery at the player is key. No, this isn’t Resident Evil or Pi but a new psychological horror game available to play now on Steam.

As if that wasn’t enough, you can experience the game for free right now. Yes, there is a playable demo of Baptiste available on Steam, so all you need is a little bit of time on your hands and perhaps a brightly lit playing space to keep the monsters at bay! A suffocating atmosphere with nightmares hiding in every shadow awaits you…if you dare! Who doesn’t love getting a free horror game on Steam?

Could Baptiste Be The Next PT?

Early reviews for Baptiste look promising. The game offers a deep psychological experience to unnerve the player while submerging them in a dark mystery told from a fragmented and unreliable character’s perspective. Expect sights and sounds to play tricks on your mind as Tom, dealing with a recent family trauma, tries to navigate his way through a nightmare-fuelled experience in a creepy run-down mansion. Oh, and there’s a creepy doll that shows up to wreck your day….that’s it, I’m out!

If Baptiste truly leans into psychological horror like the upcoming sci-fi horror game ONTAS, rather than relying on cheap jump scares, then it could very well compete with the likes of PT and Resident Evil. The premise certainly sounds intriguing with the main character still reeling from the sudden death of his father. Uncovering mysteries while also dealing with a distorted mind, might just scratch that cerebral horror itch for many hardcore horror fans.

It’s Free To Download And Check Out Now

    Grab The Free Demo Now

While the official full release date of Baptiste is unknown, you can experience a fully playable demo today for free. It’s rare we get a Resident Evil-style horror game for free, so getting to grips with a free demo before launch is a real treat. Do you dare explore the cursed mansion and hopefully keep yourself and your Mother alive to see the dawn? With a killer doll named Baptiste on a path of destruction…it’s unlikely!

Solving puzzles and discovering the secrets of the mansion while being pursued by a demonic doll doesn’t exactly sound like a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Baptiste is drenched in atmosphere with sights and sounds to unsettle even hardened horror hounds. Download the free demo on Steam today. What have you got to lose except for your composure and perhaps your sanity?
