Stranger Things season 4 fan art compares the series’ telekinesis users to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Scarlet Witch in a hilarious crossover.
Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS for Stranger Things season 4 volume 1
Fan art for Stranger Things season 4 pokes fun at the MCU’s Scarlet Witch and her powers. The latest season of the hugely successful Netflix series released on May 27, with its final episodes set to premiere on July 1. This season has unveiled the series’ most ambitious storyline yet, introducing the terrifying villain Vecna. The king of the Upside Down continues to wreak havoc upon Hawkins, and this time, the teens don’t have the help of Jim Hopper or the powers of Eleven on their side.
On the road to getting her powers back, Eleven’s memories unveil yet another powerful telekinesis user: 001, or One. The man is first seen as just another attendant in the Hawkins Lab facility with Eleven but is later revealed to be the lab’s very first test subject, the son of Victor Creel. One, who goes on to become Vecna following a lost duel with Eleven, proves to be one of Hawkins’ most powerful telekineses users. Only Eleven can successfully fight against him when she uses love as her motivation rather than the anger and hatred One had once urged her to.
Now, fan art for Stranger Things season 4 draws a hilarious comparison between One’s and Eleven’s powers and the MCU’s Scarlet Witch. The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness antagonist is depicted by artist raychelwho on Instagram in her backbend pose alongside a confused and quite concerned One and Eleven, following a display of their respective telekinetic powers. The art emphasizes the theatrics of the Scarlet Witch as compared to the two Stranger Things characters, along with examples of Wanda Maximoff’s back-bending in the MCU and a meme of T’Challa saying to “get this woman a chiropractor.” See the lighthearted art below:

The crossover is perfect for viewers of both franchises and apt given the characters’ extreme power and sometimes antagonistic moments. Wanda and Eleven have plenty of similarities in the origin of their powers, each one being test subjects in a facility against their will in ways that took their childhoods from them. They both decide to use those powers for good, despite the moments when they fall short and give in to their darker desires. Even One is rather similar to Wanda in his upbringing as he becomes the first individual like Eleven to be tested on and used for experimentation, though his powers predate the Hawkins Lab facility.
Eleven and One may have a chance at recreating such theatrics during their inevitable rematch in the final episodes of Stranger Things season 4. The series’ creators, the Duffer Brothers, have teased a two-part finale that’s more action-packed and intense than ever before, which leaves plenty of room for an epic battle between the two telekinesis users. One’s transformation into Vecna has caused an eager search for blood, especially Eleven’s, which raises the stakes for anyone who tries to get involved. The Duffer Brothers have also stated that no one is safe, which could very well mean that Eleven’s and One’s next face-off in Stranger Things season 4 may get more people hurt than just themselves.
