At a time when global connections feel more fragile than ever, a different kind of gathering is set to take place in New York ahead of the Met Gala.
Curated not for noise, but for meaning, this intimate evening moves away from the traditional idea of a fashion show. Instead, it unfolds as a cultural salon — where fashion, art, and music come together as a shared language.
Hosted by international media figure Sisi, founder of Sisi Hollywood — The Window of East & West Pre-Met Gala Cultural Salon marks the official launch of Sisi Hollywood’s East–West Dialogue Series — a long-term platform dedicated to using storytelling and creativity as bridges between cultures. A forward-thinking cultural vision has become the signature of Sisi Hollywood and its founder — Sisi Cao a preeminent international media leader dedicated to bridging East and West through authentic, elevated public cultural dialogue.
Co-hosted by the founder of Global Stress Initiative, a non-profit dedicated to non-invasive treatment of survivors of trauma with PTSD, Lorraine Silvetz, whose work spans both fashion and humanitarian initiatives. Through her focus on fashion, philanthropy and mental health she has explored how fashion style can move beyond aesthetics — becoming a medium for empathy, awareness, and human connection.
The evening brings together five distinct voices in design.
Renowned designers, Ji Cheng and Liu Wei represent a distinguished creative voice rooted in profound cultural heritage, exquisite craftsmanship, and the timeless interplay between tradition and modernity. Their creations embody the continuity of Eastern aesthetics forged through heritage, far beyond fleeting seasonal trends.
Due to their international schedules, their collections will be presented on site, with the designer joining via live international connection — a quiet reflection of the evening’s central idea: that distance does not prevent connection.
Emerging brand UGrace completes the dialogue with structured menswear defined by precision and restraint, adding a sense of rhythm and clarity to the overall composition.

Western designers include Judiann whose gowns are exquisite in their design and flow. Additionally, Evan Hirsch, a New Yorker whose transformational looks have taken over TikTok, garnering more than 65 million views worldwide.
The evening allows these designers’ perspectives to exist within one shared space — where structure meets emotion, and Eastern aesthetics begin to resonate with Western expression.
A musical tribute to legendary group The Drifters adds another layer to the experience, honoring voices that continue to connect generations through memory. Guest performer, Ronald “Magic” Coleman was brought aboard in the early 80’s by the original band members to carry the torch for the timeless bad that has influenced many musicians and genres since the 50’s.
Confirmed distinguished attendees include actress/model, Livia Pillmann, actor and producer Sebastian Harrison, Actor/Model, Sergio Delavicci, President of SPEC Entertainment William Harlam, alongside an elite roster of global cultural figures.
Far beyond a pre-Met Gala social gathering, this intimate evening carries a greater cultural mission. It exists not only to showcase high fashion, but to build a dignified, inclusive space where identity, heritage and narrative artfully intersect.
The evening comes together through the support of partners who share this vision, including the Shanghai Association in USA, Manhattan Elite Club, and The Wong Wine — a reflection of a collective belief that culture, when presented with intention, can bring people closer across communities and borders.
For Sisi Hollywood, this is only the beginning.
“Fashion is Power” marks the first chapter of a broader cultural framework — one that will continue to expand across art, film, and global dialogue.
In a divided world, the most powerful voice may not be the loudest —
but the one that helps people bridge their differences.
