Leikeli47 famously covered her face for much of her career, but the rapper has taken off the mask in the video for her new song “450.” Watch the black-and-white visual, directed by Masood Ahmed, below.
In a press statement, Leikeli47 said, “It feels right. It’s time. The mask served its purpose, and now we move forward,” She added, “‘450’ is my declaration of commitment to the people and this art form. I don’t just love what I do, I’m in love with what I do; and there’s no stopping me. I’m just heating up.”
Along with the single, Leikeli47 has announced that she has a new album coming soon. The musician made her Shape Up follow-up with fellow executive producer Harold Lilly, mixing engineer, Neal Pogue, and mastering engineer Mike Bozzi. The album, titled Lei Keli ft. 47 / For Promotional Use Only, does not currently have a release date.
