Sombr has unveiled his newest single, “My Body Isn’t Ready,” an honest, emotionally raw ballad. Stream it below.
With “My Body Isn’t Ready,” out via Warner Records, sombr continues his distinct heartache drenched sound with a sensitive and vulnerable anthem about youthful inhibitions moved by piano that’s musically reminiscent of Cold Play. “I like you, but my body isn’t ready/ I want you, but the mirror won’t let me/ I try to be the person you’re expecting/ But I’m not ready, I’m not ready,” sombr belts out in the chorus.
A statement said, the song finds sombr “at his most vulnerable” with “a strikingly honest reflection on insecurity and self-worth.” The single’s video was directed by Gus Black and stars Inde Navarrette and Josh Heuston.
