Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the woman who was killed during a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday.
Swift made the donation via a GoFundMe page set up to “provide vital financial support to [Lopez-Galvan]’s family as they process this unthinkable tragedy.”
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” wrote the singer in a note accompanying her donation.
Lopez-Galvan, 44, worked as the co-host of a Latin music program called Taste of Tejano on Kansas City radio station KKFI.
23 other people, including 11 children, were wounded when gunfire erupted during the Chiefs’ victory parade. Police believe the shooting stemmed from a “dispute” between several people; two juvenile suspects have been detained and are awaiting formal charges.
Swift, who is dating Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, was not in attendance for the parade. Following the Super Bowl, she flew to Australia, where she is due to resume “The Eras Tour” on Friday.
