Alabama Governor Kay Ivey Corrects Woke ESPN: I Banned ‘Biological Men’ From Women’s Sports, Not ‘Transgender Women’

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey Corrects Woke ESPN: I Banned ‘Biological Men’ From Women’s Sports, Not ‘Transgender Women’

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey roasted the former sports network ESPN with a tweet correcting their biased woke reporting on a bill she signed banning biological men from competing in women’s college sports.

Ivey signed the legislation on Tuesday.

“Look, if you are a biological male, you are not going to be competing in women’s and girls’ sports in Alabama,” she announced. “It’s about fairness, plain and simple.”

The media have been beside themselves since she signed the bill.

Take, for example, CNN which frames the argument as Ivey placing “limits” on transgender athletes. In reality, allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports puts limits on the women.

Look, I don’t care who you are, Kay Ivey is a national treasure and should be celebrated as such. The woman is all business and doesn’t have time for games.

That was clearly evident when she responded to a tweet by ESPN which characterized the athletes being banned as women … “transgender women.”

“Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed legislation on Tuesday that will ban transgender women from playing on female sports teams in college,” they wrote. “This expands the state’s existing ban on transgender athletes on K-12 sports teams.”

You would think the ‘sports’ network would be celebrating a move to protect the integrity of women’s sports. This is, after all, a network that still believes the WNBA is a viable product.

But no, they couldn’t do that.

And Governor Kay Ivey jumped all over their tweet explaining it isn’t about transgender anything, it’s more about science and biology.

Ivey offered to “fix” ESPN’s reporting and replaced the term “transgender women” with “biological MEN,” instantly making it more accurate.

    Let me fix that, @espn.

Ivey Praised For Signing the Bill, Blasting ESPN

Governor Kay Ivey earned high marks both for signing the bill banning biological men from women’s sports and for adding just a touch of Science™ to ESPN’s tweet calling it a ban on “transgender women.”

“ESPN should be one of the first to say it is wrong for bio-men to compete against bio-women. Really should not be a debate,” one person wrote.

Others responded to ESPN’s tweet about the bill in question, celebrating it.

“Based,” reads one tweet. “Every single governor should be doing this.”

Jordan Schachtel, an investigative journalist and writer for The Dossier, simply pointed out “she’s banning dudes from women’s sports.”

While Ivey is protecting women’s sports, Democrats are doing everything they can to destroy them.

This past April, a bill protecting women’s sports passed the House with only Republican support. The legislation – H.R. 734 – makes it a Title IX violation to “allow individuals of the male sex to participate in programs or activities that are designated for women or girls.”

Zero Democrats voted in favor of protecting women’s and girls’ sports from being overrun by biological males. They want dudes in women’s sports.

The news prompted Riley Gaines, a former NCAA star swimmer at Kentucky, to eviscerate the extremist liberal party.

    — GOP (@GOP) April 20, 2023

“It’s almost ironic,” Gaines told Fox News host Harris Faulkner. “The left was once a party that embraced women and fought for women’s rights. And now we’ve seen this narrative being totally flipped.”

“It just shows the war on women is underway, and the Democrats will pay for this in 2024,” she warned.

Governor Ivey is siding with women in that war. Real women.
