Four American Presidents Were In New York, Only Trump Went To The Wake Of A Slain Police Officer

The contrast was on full display Thursday. Three former Presidents and the current one were in New York City on Thursday.

One was there to attend the funeral of New York City Police Officer Jonathan Diller. The officer was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty on March 25th while conducting a traffic stop in Queens.

Diller was savagely murdered by a career criminal during a routine interaction. In a Democrat-run city. A city that prioritizes illegal aliens and career criminals over its citizens.

A city where law enforcement officers have been villainized by the feckless Democrat politicians. Where disastrous policies allowed a criminal with 21 prior arrests to be on the streets.

Trump took the time to attend that man’s wake.

Meanwhile, Here’s What Biden Was Doing In New York

While Trump was in New York to pay respects to a police officer slain due to lax laws for criminals in a deeply blue city, President Biden was elsewhere in the same city.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre though told reporters that while Biden couldn’t be at the wake, she assured us all that the President offered condolences.

    To Mayor Eric Adams.

Karine Jean-Pierre says Biden “spoke to Mayor Adams and gave his condolences” on the murder of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller and offered “Mayor Adams, the City of New York, and the NYPD his full support.”

We’re sure a grieving Adams was touched by the gesture.

So what was more vital than Officer Diller’s wake? What drew President Biden away from a chance to console a grieving family?

Why, a chance to rub shoulders with Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and … Lizzo. Yes that Lizzo, of “‘B**** I just twerked and played James Madison’s flute” fame.

Here is the artist giving a thunderous performance at the $25 million fundraiser.

NEW: Lizzo performs at Biden’s $25M fundraiser with the liberal elite, hosted by Stephen Colbert.

Lizzo is accused of s*xually harassing her backup dancers but that doesn’t seem to bother the three former presidents.

“Such a sad, sad event. Such a horrible thing. And it’s happening all too often and we’re just not going to let it happen,” Trump said outside the wake. “We need law and order.”

By contrast, the Democrat fundraiser saw tickets priced between $225 and half-a-million dollars. For an additional $100,000, guests could get a picture with Biden, Obama, and Clinton.

The Dem presidents were having a good time. Living it up like rock stars.

    Really Bad Optics

How bad a look was this for both Trump and Biden to be in New York, and only one of them acting like a President?

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a Never Trumper and the token Republican co-host of The View, even gave Trump credit.

“Donald Trump, the master spinner, is going to say, ‘You, elites in New York with celebrities are raising these high-dollar donor money, while I‘m in New York to honor a fallen New York police department officer, who was killed by somebody who‘d been arrested on 21 times previously,’” Griffin said.

“To the average American, the Trump-curious voter, this is what they want to see from him,” she added. “I have to say Donald Trump is getting smarter.”

That, or he actually cares about crime whereas Democrats have shown time and again that they do not. Especially in New York.

Former chief strategist for Obama, David Axelrod, indicates Biden made the right move. Because money is more important in the big scheme of things.

Not wrong. But in the big scheme of things, the $25 million will probably mean more than the look.

    — David Axelrod (@davidaxelrod) March 29, 2024

The priorities are clear. Biden and the Democrats – they have none higher than themselves.

Trump, meanwhile, supports law enforcement and makes law and order a priority. His record proves it.
