Hillary Clinton Warns Democrats: Drop ‘Extreme’ Stances Or Lose Elections

Hillary Clinton Warns Democrats: Drop ‘Extreme’ Stances Or Lose Elections

Despite her insistence that she will not be campaigning for the White House a third time, nothing seems to be stopping Hillary Clinton’s continued attempts to offer sage advice to her fellow Democrats.

According to a recent interview with the Financial Times, the former Secretary of State and Democrat presidential nominee warned Democrats that if they don’t focus on ‘common-sense politics,’ they will face significant losses in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections and beyond.

Hillary Clinton’s advice seems to run counter to what some of the more attention-seeking, progressive members of her party believe, including President Joe Biden.

If Clinton isn’t careful, she may have to turn in her Democrat card along with the likes of James Carville and Bill Maher, who seem to be left behind by the younger and farther-left activists within the party.

Please, Tell Me More About ‘Common-Sense’ Politics.

During the interview, Financial Times Associate Editor and Columnist Edward Luce tried to delicately navigate around the issue of the transgender rights movement. In contrast, Clinton foot-stomped the ever unpopular ‘defund the police’ movement.

Luce asked Clinton her thoughts on her party’s apparent focus on “elevating activist causes” and its obsession with the “transgender debate.”

Clinton chose to avoid commenting directly on the issue of transgender rights and instead replied, “Some positions are so extreme on both the right and the left that they retreat to their corners.” She then added, “politics should be the art of addition not subtraction.”

Hold the phone…did Hillary Clinton say something independents can agree with?

The issue the former diplomat and lawyer chose to illustrate her point was the ‘defund the police’ movement.

“You need accountable measures. But you also need policing. It doesn’t even pass the common-sense politics test not to believe that.”

As a lover of our political circus, even I, unfortunately, don’t recall learning about a ‘common-sense’ politics test.

So what does Hillary Clinton think Democrats should focus on? Winning, of course.

She implores, “the most important thing is to win the next election.” Spoken like a true blue politician.

Not one to shy away from extreme rhetoric herself, Clinton added, “the alternative is so frightening that whatever does not help you win should not be a priority.”

While not evident what position Luce has on defunding the police, he made it clear that he does not think the transgender movement should be a priority.

“I say that Democrats seem to be going out of their way to lose elections elevating activist causes, notably the transgender debate…”

This sentiment did not sit well with some progressives on Twitter.

Hillary Clinton is a TERF and that should not surprise anyone pic.twitter.com/vbKlWRxFRV

You might be asking yourself: what does Frank the Socialist even mean by “Hillary Clinton is a TERF” in the above tweet?

Well, her interview with Luce also discussed another infamous TERF, best-selling children’s fantasy author J.K. Rowling.

    Is J.K. Rowling a Real-Life Voldemort?

Luce managed to invoke the ‘one who shall not be named’ in the real world, J.K Rowling, during his interview with the former First Lady. The columnist asked Clinton, “What sense does it make to depict J.K. Rowling as a fascist?”

Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has been making waves in the transgender community and the Twittersphere for a few years, but perhaps made the most significant wave with her support of Maya Forstater.

Forstater lost her job at a think tank for tweeting; “men cannot change into women.” She took her case to court and lost. Judge James Taylor, who ruled in the case, claimed that her opinion was “absolutist.”

When Rowling tweeted support for Forstater, she was met with fierce harassment and rebuke on Twitter and in the media, including cast members from the Harry Potter film series.

So get ready to learn a new acronym: TERF.

Rowling was labeled a TERF, which is a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.” Essentially, Rowling believes that trying to erase the idea of biological males and females could be harmful to women and erase the unique feminine experience.

????The debate in a nutshell. Non-compliant women and gay people called bigots because they disagree with an ideology that disallows their understanding of themselves and the basis on which both are harassed and oppressed: sex & same sex attraction. pic.twitter.com/oxltp4GM7V

    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 12, 2022

Far from ever being described as a right-wing extremist, Rowling has long supported the LGBT community. However, voicing her opinion that there are only two sexes makes all that support irrelevant according to today’s progressives.

Will ‘Moderate’ President Biden Heed Clinton’s Advice? Signs Point to No.

President Biden put out the following statement on March 31 for the “Transgender Day of Visibility”:

“To everyone celebrating Transgender Day of Visibility, I want you to know that your President sees you. Our entire administration sees you for who you are – made in the image of God deserving of dignity, respect and support.”

To everyone celebrating Transgender Day of Visibility, I want you to know that your President sees you. @FLOTUS, @VP, @SecondGentleman, and my entire Administration see you for who you are — made in the image of God and deserving of dignity, respect, and support.

    — President Biden (@POTUS) March 31, 2022

The number of transgender Americans that the President and his administration ‘sees’ is pretty slim. A Gallup survey in February shows that .7% of Americans are transgender.

Well, at least he sees some Americans; tough luck to those suffering from soaring inflation, crime, and food insecurity. Last week, the President doubled down by signing an Executive Order meant to do all sorts of things for the LGBT community.

However, what exactly remains to be seen. The Education Department is being ordered to “establish a Working Group on LGBTQI+ students ad families, which shall lead an initiative to address discrimination against LGBTQI+ students and strengthen support for LGBTQI+ students and families.”

Within the EO, the Department of Health and Human Services is charged to work “with states on expanding access to gender-affirming care.” But, it goes further, telling the DHHS to “address the barriers and exclusionary policies” in health care and treatment.

A Winning Strategy for Democrats in 2024?

Andrea Hong Marra, the Executive Director of Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund, said the Biden administration has been “the most active in history” regarding transgender rights.

The Biden administration sure has been pulling out all the stops for the LGBT community. They’ve really been putting a lot of eggs into the alphabet lifestyle basket so to speak.

Meanwhile, what the rest of us Americans are facing gets very little if any attention from the White House.

Hillary said after the upset win of Governor Glenn Youngkin in Virginia that she thinks “that it is a time for some careful thinking about what wins elections.”

Is anyone in her party listening, because clearly the President isn’t.
