The Oscar-winning star Jon Voight, who has long been one of the only openly conservative Christians, in Hollywood, recently released a video in which he compared the former President Donald Trump to Jesus Christ. Trump has since shared the video on his Truth Social platform.
Voight Sounds Off
“There is too much hate. We must never allow it to take over truths,” began Voight, 85. “He, Trump, has been targeted for his information that can knock down the corrupt swamp. Trump is the only man that can destroy the negative propaganda that has been sworn into this office.”
“Can he be saved with the American people who believe in God’s glory? Can we save our nation from the dark cloud that has been put upon our life’s dreams?” he continued. “Yes. Because Joshua promised the land of hospitality and his sword of righteousness. Fought the battles left and right. The battles of right and wrong.”
Voight Brings Up Jesus
That’s when Voight brought up Jesus Christ.
“A”nd Jesus said that man can rise above darkness, that he can be saved with this understanding, this truth,” he stated. “Believe. And he shall finalize the Holy Ghost. The light of God’s happiness for all to rise. And this truth can open the ways for the gifts to be.”
“Believe. That the man that can help this nation, the one man that was ridiculed, destroyed as Jesus, Trump, can come back and save the American dream for all. And make America great with the dignity, with the power of who she is,” Voight concluded. “The land of freedom. God’s land. God’s glory. The USA. Much love to you.”

Voight has long been one of the only Hollywood stars to publicly back Trump. Back in 2022, Voight said that Trump is the “only” person who can save our country.
“My fellow Americans, we are in danger of a third world war. We as a family of one truth must hear this now. Look at this lie, this deceit that continues day after day,” Voight said, according to Daily Mail. “It’s supposed to be the land of the free but it’s far from this. It’s a dark web. A dark world, but not for long because, my friends, a change is coming and a new light will emerge. We must all see this truth and allow justice to take place now.”
“Let us pray that the one president who understood truths and had the best interests of the American people, the American dream, President Donald Trump will return to the presidency,” he later added. “He and only he can stop this swamp. Allow President Trump to rebuild our soil and our land so we can rise to our glory.”
The Independent reported that back in 2017, Voight said that “if God could reverse all the negative lies against Mr Trump, whose only desire was to make America great again.” Two years later, he said that Trump was the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”
