MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Tells Pro-Gun Control British Reporter ‘Go Back to Your Country’

MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Tells Pro-Gun Control British Reporter ‘Go Back to Your Country’

Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a heated exchange with a British reporter over gun control laws and told her to “go back to your country.”

The tense conversation took place during a press conference at the Capitol on Wednesday as 14 Republican Senators gave Democrats the votes they needed to further gun control.

Greene had just made the statement, “It’s our job to defend the Second Amendment,” and walked away from the podium when the British journalist interjected.

“We don’t have guns in the U.K., that is true, but we don’t have mass shootings either,” she said. “And our children aren’t scared to go to school.”

Greene (R-GA) fired back almost immediately saying, “You have mass stabbings, lady. You have all kinds of murder and you’ve got laws against that.”

The reporter replied that such rates aren’t as prevalent in the UK.

“Well, you can go back to your country and worry about your no guns,” Greene leveled. “We like ours here.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene: Go Back to Your No Gun Country

A Heritage Foundation report arguing against gun control points out that “bombings, mass stabbings, and car attacks” in other countries “frequently kill more people than even the deadliest mass shootings in the United States.”

A 2019 report by the BBC indicates fatal stabbings in England had reached their highest level since records began in 1946.

They aren’t at the same level of shootings here in the United States, but the point is mass killers will often find ways to kill without firearms.

Greene also hammered Republicans during the press conference for bending the knee and helping Democrats to advance a gun control bill that includes incentives for states to create ‘red flag’ laws.

She called the Senate gun bill “a complete failure” and named names of those in the GOP who have betrayed Americans on the Second Amendment.

“I don’t mind naming their names, because people all over our country are furious at them,” she claimed.

“We have to change our Republican Party and it needs to happen right here, because if we don’t start defending Americans’ freedoms and rights, and putting Americans first, our voters aren’t going to want to put us in charge,” added Greene.

    Defender of the Second Amendment

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been a vocal advocate of Second Amendment rights in this country and does not hold back even when it comes to members of her own party.

She very recently hammered Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for his willingness to help Democrats move forward on the Democrats’ “radical” gun control agenda.

“He’s ready to vote for anything Joe Biden wants, he is ready to violate due process, and this is everything wrong with Republicans in the Republican Party,” Greene accused.

Last year, she called to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

“I’m introducing legislation to Eliminate the ATF to protect ALL gun owners across this country from a tyrannical, power-hungry group of bureaucrats whose goal is to destroy our Second Amendment rights,” she said.

Greene, also that year, introduced the Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) which was designed to eliminate federal funding for gun control.

“Our God-given right to protect our country, ourselves, and our families shouldn’t be up for debate,” she said at the time.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has a 92 percent rating with both the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the Gun Owners of America.
