President Trump is scheduled to make an announcement in relation to the Department of Defense in the Oval Office this afternoon.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told CNN, “The president will be making an exciting announcement related to the Department of Defense.”
White House officials did not clarify exactly what he will announce at this time, but this also comes amid plans to execute a massive immigration operation with hundreds of Homeland Security agents in Chicago.
The enforcement operations will be centered on arresting illegal aliens in the sanctuary state of Illinois, but the National Guard could be used to quell violent rioters, as done in Los Angeles, or to deter crime, as we are seeing in Washington, DC.
The President has teased plans to replicate his takeover in Washington, DC, in other high-crime cities such as Baltimore, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.
“Chicago will be our next,” the President said in a recent press conference, pointing to the “grossly incompetent” mayor and high rate of violent crime.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, another string of weekend shootings left at least seven dead and 37 injured as of Monday morning in Chicago. Revised numbers show that at least 57 were shot and eight killed over the three-day weekend.
This comes after six people were killed and 27 were injured, with victims as young as five years old, in shootings the weekend before.
President Trump highlighted the deadly weekends on Truth Social this morning, stating, “Chicago is the worst and most dangerous city in the World, by far. Pritzker needs help badly, he just doesn’t know it yet.”
He continued, “I will solve the crime problem fast, just like I did in DC. Chicago will be safe again, and soon. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
At least 54 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, 8 people were killed. The last two weekends were similar. Chicago is the worst and most dangerous city in the World, by far.
