Republicans Are Already Melting Down At Trump’s Midterm Convention

What happens when the consistently least popular president in the history of polling trashes the US economy through a series of bad decisions, then decides to host a two-day convention before the midterm elections that is all about himself?

America is about to find out as Trump’s brainchild of a Republican midterm election, which is a concept that no political party has used since Democrats did it in the late 1970s and early 1980s, unfolds in Dallas, Texas.

    Why Dallas?

Texas is the epicenter of Republican fundraising, and Trump’s Republican Party has to lean into its money advantage, but it doesn’t have much else going for it.

In the last few election cycles, “vibes” have become the buzzword in political circles, but what are vibes? Can vibes be measured? Does it even mean anything if vibes are good or bad?

Not too long ago, vibes were called the mood. Vibes can’t be measured, but the pundit class often chatters about the mood of the electorate the mood, or the mood of a party. Mood or vibes, not surprisingly match up with expectations for the upcoming election.

Looking at the early reports coming out of Dallas, not only are the vibes bad at the Republican convention, but Trump’s party is already melting down.
