Ted Nugent Defends Jason Aldean From ‘Idiots’ Trying To Cancel ‘Try That In A Small Town’ – ‘They’ve Got No Soul’

Over the past week, the left has been frantically trying to cancel the conservative country music star Jason Aldean over his new anti-woke anthem “Try That In A Small Town.” Now, the rock legend Ted Nugent is speaking out to defend Aldean, going so far as to say that the members of the liberal mob who are attacking his new song are “just weird people” who have “no soul.”

    Nugent Defends Aldean

“I know there’s a bunch of idiots out there, but you need to learn to get a kick out of the idiots,” Nugent, 74, told Fox News. “The idiots hate this Jason Aldean song because they hate when we push back against violence.”

“They always get it 180 degrees wrong,” he continued. “This song is against violence. The song is about self-defense. The song is about protecting your loved ones in your neighborhood. If you find fault with a song that celebrates protecting your loved ones, your neighborhood, you might be going down to Target to the Satan display and get down on your knees.”

“These are just weird people,” Nugent added. “We dismiss them because they’ve gotten out of hand because they’ve got no soul. I laugh in their face.”

As someone who has been targeted by the cancel culture mob himself in the past, Nugent declared that he is proud to stand for “truth, logic and common sense.”

“I’ve always stood up radically – really extremist – for God, family, country, Constitution, Bill of Rights, Ten Commandments, golden rule, work ethic, law and order, all that really radical stuff, and that represents the heart and soul of the best, most passionate, most cocky, most fun people in the world,” Nugent concluded.

‘Try That In A Small Town’ Backlash

Liberals lost their minds last week when the music video for “Try That In A Small Town” was released, as they were outraged that it dared to show the chaos and violence that swept the country amidst the Black Lives Matter riots back in 2020. CMT responded to the backlash by caving to the liberal mob and removing the music video from its rotation.

Despite this, Aldean remained defiant during a concert in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday night.

“I’ve seen a lot of stuff suggesting I am this, suggesting I am that,” he said. “Here’s the thing, I feel like everybody is entitled to their opinion you can think something all you want to, it doesn’t mean it is true.”

“What I am, is a proud American,” Aldean continued. “I love our country, I want to see it restored to what it once was before all this bulls**t started happening to us.”

‘Try That In A Small Town’ Hits Number 1

Unfortunately for the cancel culture mob, their hatred for “Try That In A Small Town” appears to have only made it more popular, as the song hit number 1 on iTunes as the top song in the U.S. last Tuesday, according to TMZ.

Nugent is one person who was not surprised by the song’s success.

“The reach of social media gets to good people all over the world, and all the good people in the world are saying what the Nugent family says: ‘Go, Jason, go… we salute you, and we stand with you,’” he said.

Liberals may have the loudest voices, but this all goes to show that there is a silent majority in this country that has had enough of the woke nonsense. We applaud Nugent for courageously defending Aldean, and we hope they both continue to stand strong against the cancel culture mob for a long time to come!
