Trans Influencer Dylan Mulvaney Wants to Make ‘Misgendering’ Illegal

Trans Influencer Dylan Mulvaney Wants to Make ‘Misgendering’ Illegal

I first heard of Dylan Mulvaney when I came across a promotional video where he spoke about the joys of “girlhood’ for my now-former favorite beauty product store, ULTA.

I watched perplexed as this man dressed in an off-red pleather sheath dress and perfectly coifed hair a la the 1950s sat with another man with a full beard and mustache dressed in very trendy boho style women’s outfit to discuss the “Beauty of Girlhood.”

Take a look so you have the same starting point I did:

I had never heard of Mulvaney, but it didn’t take long for his videos and face to be plastered on almost every media source imaginable. A week can’t go by without headlines about Mulvaney’s “journey into girlhood;” hell, he’s even infiltrated the beer industry.

But what caught my eye last night was a resurfaced video where Mulvaney implies journalists who ‘misgender’ him should be arrested, or at the very least be guilty of a crime. For someone sucking the marrow out of the freedoms this country provides them, you’d think they would be more up to speed on one of the most fundamental freedoms.

    Let’s Call the Cops

    In the video, Mulvaney states:

“In my opinion the articles written about me using he pronouns and calling me a man over and over again and I feel like that should be illegal. I don’t know, that’s that’s just bad journalism.”

    Watch:

Dylan Mulvaney calls for the arrest of people who call him a man. Do you still think I’ve been too mean to this guy?

As for girlhood, this is the same person who said before bursting into song in a previous video:

“I can normalize women having bulges sometimes. We’re coming up on bikini season and you might see a bulge or two, so normalize the bulge!”

    Girlhood vs. Womanhood

After Bud Light faced intense backlash for featuring Dylan Mulvaney on a set of limited cans, those in the entertainment industry had to weigh in.

In response to Kid Rock taking his legally purchased firearms to shoot up a case of Bud Light, Howard Stern said in defense of Mulvaney:

“You wanna be a woman? Be a woman. You wanna be a dude, be a dude. Be whatever you f***ing want. As long as you ain’t hurting anybody, I’m on your team.”

In principle, I agree with this statement. I don’t care what grown adults do, provided it doesn’t infringe on my rights and safety – but what about those who don’t want to be a woman?

Take, for example, Mulvaney’s video blog titleds “Days of Girlhood,” for Pete’s sake. In one video, Mulvaney dresses as a six-year-old girl would dress and pretends to be the childhood book character Eloise.

In his own words on what he is trying to accomplish:

“…everything I try to put out is positive, it’s trying to connect with others that maybe don’t understand me, it’s to make people laugh or make a kid feel seen.”

Now, let me be clear. I’m not making any accusations, but maybe we shouldn’t normalize the imitation of little girls by adults?

    A Dangerous Contagion

Those who are trans activists like to argue that this movement is about equity and human rights for those who “identify” as the opposite gender that they are. But is that the case?

Trans activists are fighting hard to allow biological men to compete in women’s sports and biological boys to compete in girls’ sports. Unfortunately, this egregious assault on women’s sports has already caused severe damage to women and girls.

High school senior Payton McNabb in North Carolina suffered a concussion and neck injury during a volleyball tournament when a biological boy spiked the ball in her face. She now has impaired vision, partial paralysis on the right side of her body, chronic headaches, anxiety, and depression.

Marathoner Glen Frank, who ran the New York City marathon as a man, ran the London marathon in the woman’s category under the creative name Glenique Frank, affecting the finishing standings of 14,000 female runners.

But, of course, the counterargument is that women who don’t want to compete against men are transphobic, as trans college swimmer Lia Thomas states:

“They’re using the guise of feminism to sort of push transphobic beliefs.”

And recently released from Russian prison Brittney Griner claims biological men should be able to compete with women because “Everyone deserves the right to play.”

    A Privileged Class

I’ve often been told in the last two years that I need to accept and apologize for my white privilege. But instead, I would argue that perhaps the most privileged people in America today identify as transgender.

Thanks to Mulvaney’s notoriety, he received an audience with the single most powerful man in the world, President Joe Biden. Dressed in a classic white and baby blue pantsuit that channeled images of a clownish Jackie O, Mulvaney discussed trans rights with the leader of the free world.

He gushed before the sit down:

“The fact that our president has watched “Days of Girlhood” – it’s kind of epic.”

Joe Biden hasn’t watched your vlog, Dylan. Joe Biden and his handlers are using you to snag uninformed votes just as you are using him to stroke your hedonistic need for attention.

    Mulvaney claims that he has:

“…tried to be the most uncontroversial person this past year and somehow it has made me controversial still.”

Some day, we may get to the bottom of that mystery.
