Trump Roasts ‘Sloppy Loser’ Chris Christie After He Calls Former President A Coward

Trump Roasts ‘Sloppy Loser’ Chris Christie After He Calls Former President A Coward

Donald Trump slammed Chris Christie as “sloppy” and a “total loser” while the former New Jersey governor fired back by accusing the Republican frontrunner of being a “coward” for reportedly skipping early primary debates.

Christie, who has been floundering in the polls since announcing his own presidential campaign, has been incessantly mocking Trump in a desperate bid to get attention and boost his profile.

But Trump doesn’t necessarily need an open invite to mix it up with his political opponents.

Christie fired the latest salvo during a Fox News interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticized Trump for failing to build the wall at the southern border.

“Sloppy Chris Christie, who is polling at 1% and left his State, New Jersey, with an Approval Rating of 9% (the WORST number in State History), was interviewed on FoxNews (of course!) and stated that I only built 47 miles of Border Wall,” Trump hit back on social media.

“The actual number is 463 Miles, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security,” the former president continued. “This does not include many Miles that we fixed or renovated, or areas that I got Mexico to secure.”

    Trump Wrecks Chris Christie

Trump wasn’t even vaguely through trashing Christie on social media, posting yet another message about his “sloppy” GOP opponent.

“Sloppy Chris Christie is thrashing about, doing and saying anything to stay relevant,” Trump said.

He then mocked Christie’s 2016 presidential run in which the two eventually teamed up to take out a more formidable opponent in Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL).

“Chris ended up getting run out of New Hampshire, where he had almost no vote or popularity,” Trump continued. “They knew him well – CHRIS CHRISTIE IS A TOTAL LOSER!”

Pouring salt in the wounds despite Christie’s already elevated levels, Trump “Retruthed” posts from other Truth Social users that mocked the portly Republican.

One such post featured a video clip from the movie A Christmas Story in which the younger brother shows his mother “how the piggies eat.”

It’s captioned: “Chris Christie eating as a kid.”

Christie Calls Trump A ‘Coward’ For Avoiding Debates

Christie came out firing as well, referencing reports that former President Trump is threatening to skip the first two GOP debates.

Long-time adviser Jason Miller, in an interview with NewsNation, said it was “unlikely” Trump would take part citing his massive lead in the polls.

“It really wouldn’t make much sense for him to go and debate right now with a bunch of folks who are down at three, four and five percent,” explained Miller. “Even [Florida Governor Ron DeSantis], who’s the second-place candidate in the race currently, is at least 20, 30 or 40 points behind.”

A recent poll from Echelon Insight shows Christie polling at just 2% – behind Trump (49%), DeSantis (16%), biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy (10%), former Vice President Mike Pence and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley (5%), and Senator Tim Scott (4%).

Christie is, however, slightly ahead of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who most people would have to Google to find out he was running.

    So, good for him.

The former New Jersey Governor tweeted a screen capture of Trump’s comments and directly challenged him.

“Donald Trump, the king of keyboard warriors,” he said from behind a keyboard. “Donny, you got so much to say, why don’t you say it directly to my face on the debate stage? Or are you a coward?”

Trump leveled any and all GOP candidates in the 2016 primary debates. The man loves to hear himself talk. I don’t think he’s afraid of mixing it up with Christie.

Prior to Christie’s campaign announcement, Trump wondered “What’s the purpose” of running when he doesn’t even have support in New Jersey?

Trump later shared a doctored video of Christie speaking to supporters from an all-you-can-eat buffet, which was utterly hilarious.

The swine waddle in to claim the spoils praying that the deep-state will do what the cannot – take down Trump.

These pathetic creatures claim to represent us – they represent all that we detest.

    Nevertheless, don’t stand between Christie & the buffet.#Trump2024 pic.twitter.com/9tAOIw1Jnc

You’re going to tell me that guy is afraid of debating? The only thing that Trump should be afraid of is potentially finding himself in a direct path between Christie and the front door of the local Wendy’s.
