WATCH: AOC Squirms, Refuses To Say She’ll Support Biden In 2024

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) was asked during a CNN interview if she’d support President Biden in 2024 but refused to answer, instead insisting she’d “look into it” when the time comes.

The awkward non-committal came during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday with Dana Bash.

“I just want to ask about President Biden. He is saying he’s going to run again in 2024. Will you support him?” Bash asked.

AOC expressed that she was focused on the midterms and would “cross that bridge when we get to it.”

“I think if the president has a vision and that’s something certainly we’re all willing to entertain and examine when the time comes,” she added.

Bash pressed her pointing out, “That’s not a yes.”

“You know, I think we should endorse when we get to it,” Ocasio-Cortez replied.

“I believe that the president has been doing a very good job so far. And, you know, should he run again?” she added before sputtering, “I think that I … you know, I think it’s … we’ll take a look at it.”

Rep. @AOC will not say if she’d endorse @POTUS should he run in 2024. “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.”

AOC Refuses to Support Biden in 2024 … For Now

AOC’s nervous laughter, when confronted about her support of Biden in 2024, is noteworthy.

It comes following a report by the New York Times that there are grumblings within the Democrat Party that the President should withdraw consideration in 2024.

The Times writes that “dozens of frustrated Democratic officials, members of Congress and voters” have “expressed doubts about the president’s ability to rescue his reeling party and take the fight to Republicans.”

Some of the on record quotes from Democrats here are brutal. “Democrats are like, ‘What the hell is going on?’” Our country is completely falling apart. And so I think we’re lacking in the excitement.” https://t.co/h4fmEycWjM

The New York Times reports that many within his own party view President Biden as a low-energy “anchor that should be cut loose in 2024.”

“To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,” Steve Simeonidis, a Democratic National Committee member is quoted as saying.

Simeonidis believes Biden “should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.”

    ????????????

“To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,” said Steve Simeonidis, a DNC member from Miami. Mr. Biden, he said, “should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.” https://t.co/AQbGnZfZ4S

    — Michael McAdams (@M_McAdams) June 11, 2022

David Axelrod, the former chief strategist for Barack Obama’s two campaigns, openly worried in the report about Biden’s age.

“The presidency is a monstrously taxing job and the stark reality is the president would be closer to 90 than 80 at the end of a second term, and that would be a major issue,” said Axelrod.

He does add that Biden doesn’t get credit for certain political victories.

The Times goes on to note that the Democrats don’t exactly have a stacked bench should Biden withdraw. And they’re right.

Kamala Harris has been a disaster as Vice President and repeatedly scores lower approval ratings than the deeply unpopular Biden.

Others such as Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) were soundly rejected in favor of Biden. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has delivered perpetual incompetence with supply chain failures exacerbated by a 3-month paternity leave in the midst of that crisis.

“Democrats are like, ‘What the hell is going on?’” one Texas state lawmaker said. “Our country is completely falling apart. And so I think we’re lacking in the excitement.”

RELATED: AOC Confident That The Radical Left Can ‘Push’ Biden In a ‘More Progressive Direction’

Seemed to Be Happy With Biden

AOC’s inability or unwillingness to support or endorse Biden is a bit of a surprise. His continuously sagging poll numbers are due to Biden’s will to do just about anything to appease the far-left.

Prior to the election, the New York socialist was optimistic about her and the Squad’s ability to force Biden to the left should he win the White House.

“I think, overall, we can likely push Vice President Biden in a more progressive direction across policy issues,” she said two months prior to the election.

    — RNC Research (@RNCResearch) July 14, 2020

Just three months into Biden’s presidency, AOC was ecstatic with his performance.

“One thing that I will say is that I do think that the Biden administration and President Biden have exceeded expectations that progressives had,” AOC beamed during a town hall last April. “I’ll be frank, I think a lot of us expected a lot more conservative administration.”

They got anything but a conservative administration.

How disastrous has @JoeBiden‘s presidency been so far?

Since that moment, Biden’s approval rating has cratered, dropping from 51% to 39%. Inflation has skyrocketed. Gas prices are at record heights. Baby formula is scarce. And real wages are being decimated.

There is little doubt that AOC cannot see the correlation between success for progressives leading to less success and actual suffering for the American people.

Which is exactly what she and Biden have wanted all along. If he keeps it up, AOC will almost assuredly endorse Biden again in 2024.
