Stitched by Slick took a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro into the ‘IROC-Z06’, although it doesn’t have parts from a Z06. What the shop did install is the interior from a C8 Corvette and a C5-sourced 5.7L LS1 V8 engine into the American pony car. You read that right, this is the same interior from the mid-engined C8 Corvette, but with a few modifications.
What modifications you ask? Most of the interior materials were reupholstered in a light “Maui” blue, while the screen was swapped for an iPad using the original C8 screen housing. Despite all of the interior hardware being so modern, everything seemingly works, including the IROC’s four-speed automatic transmission, which is a mighty task due to the electronics involved. The 5.7L LS1 V8 engine makes 345 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque, plenty for a weekend highway cruise. For something a bit more extreme, there’s this Monster Truck Camaro.
