AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPU Revealed at Computex 2022, Based on 5nm “Zen 4” Architecture
After numerous leaks, the AMD Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processors have been officially revealed at Computex 2022. These CPUs are based on 5nm “Zen 4” architecture and feature double the amount of L2 cache per core, higher clock speeds, as well as provide a 15% uplift in single-thread performance versus its predecessor. A pre-production Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processor was clocked at a blazing fast 5.5 GHz throughout AAA game play.

The same pre-production Ryen 7000 Series desktop processor was also demonstrated performing more than 30% faster than an Intel Core i9 12900K in a Blender multi-threaded rendering workload. Other features include an all-new 6nm I/O die, which boasts AMD RDNA 2-based graphics engine, a new low-power architecture adopted from AMD Ryzen mobile processors, support for the latest connectivity technologies (DDR5, PCI Express 5.0, etc.), and support for up to 4 displays. Available this fall, with pricing yet to be announced.
