Cierra Ortega Thought Apology Would Be Enough To Stay

Love Island USA contestant Cierra Ortega thought an apology for her mistake would be enough to stay. Obviously, that did not go as she planned. However, there is a lot of information fans are going to want to know about her exit. Someone on the production team has revealed how she acted and how she tried to stay at the villa. There is a lot to unfold and uncover when it comes to this. Keep reading to find out more about this situation.

Cierra Ortega Kicked Off Love Island USA

Cierra Ortega has been on the show since almost the beginning. However, she was coupled up with Nic almost the whole time. The two had just closed off their connection and wanted to pursue each other. This did not last long as Cierra was kicked off Love Island USA. An old post of hers resurfaced, revealing that she used the word “ch**ky” to describe how she looked when she laughed or smiled. The show could not stand around and do nothing about this, as viewers were demanding she be kicked off.

She Thought An Apology Would Be Enough To Stay

It has been revealed that Cierra Ortega thought apologizing would be enough to stay in the villa. A production insider revealed all of the details.

“We had to tell her to exit the show, as what happened would have created a lot of prejudice and it’s the kind of behavior that is simply unacceptable. She didn’t want to leave the show and tried to apologize for what she did. We decided that apologies aren’t enough for topics like this. She got upset when we told her that she had to leave the show as soon as possible. It was never an option and we had to decide quickly and inform her so she could start getting ready to get out. Cierra was against leaving the show at first, and thought an apology would be enough, but it doesn’t work like this.”

Obviously, this was not enough to secure her spot in the villa. She did not want to leave, but she had no other choice. Fans were glad to see her go, as they do not want someone who uses racial slurs to get away with it.

It seems as though Cierra did not want to leave the villa. She tried apologizing for what she did. However, this was not enough as production could not let this slide. This would have resulted in a lot of backlash for the show. However, there were some islanders who tried to find a way to get her to stay. Fans are assuming this was Nic. Others were furious and wanted her gone. What do you think about this? Are you shocked she thought an apology would be good enough? Sound off in the comments below. We would love to hear your thoughts on this situation.
