Collin Gosselin has made headlines over complicated relationships in his family, including with his mother and siblings. However, the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star recently shared an emotional moment with fans during a big moment in his family. During the moment, he also shared a few statements on the future and his family.
Collin Gosselin’s Father Jon Gained Custody Of Him Back In 2018
Collin is the fourth son of Jon and Kate Gosselin. He and his family, including his seven siblings, were introduced to audiences through the reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8.
Airing on Discovery Health and TLC, the series became Kate Plus 8 after the Gosselins’ divorce in 2009. The series ended in 2017.
In recent years, Collin has become known for his estranged relationship with his mother, Kate, who enrolled him in a “special needs” program in 2016. In 2018, Collin’s father obtained physical and legal custody of him, following his release from an inpatient center.
Recently, as shared in a video by Entertainment Weekly, Jon Gosselin married his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The two tied the knot on November 23, 2025, and Collin was there to see the big moment.
Collin shared, “When my dad told me he was first getting married, I was very happy for him. And my first thought was that, he just, he deserves this.” When asked what it was like seeing him reach this moment, he admitted, “I was in tears. It was very emotional. And, usually, I don’t cry. But I just couldn’t hold it back. You know, especially when he read his vows. I was… I just lost it.”

“It wasn’t just tears of, ‘Oh, they’re getting married.’ It was me seeing the past. and then looking in this moment. And realizing just… how freeing this is for him. You know, and how much he deserves this. And how much she deserves this. And that’s something I won’t ever forget.”
Collin wasn’t the only one to witness the nuptials, as his sister Hannah was also there to see their father tie the knot. Lebo’s daughter, Juliana, was also in attendance.
Thinking about his siblings, Collin continued, “I think despite any differences or ways we see things, it was really nice to see my sister here today. It would have been really nice to see my other siblings here. You know, I love them and I hope they understand. You know, how important marriage is and how important it is and how happy it made me and Hannah see our Dad get married today.”
Looking back at what this milestone means, Collin shared, “I think overall everybody deserves to find their person. Everybody deserves to find love. The past is that past, and the future is the future. And I think that’s the cool thing about a wedding is it really represents that. But it was really nice that we were here for him. And I think we were both crying. So, yeah.”
