TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.
TriVersity Talk! Is part of TriVersity’s ICARE Initiative. ICARE stands for Increasing Community Awareness through Relevant Education. ICARE Programs are generously funded by The Greater Pike Community.
EJ Garlands (he/him) is a New York City-based singer-songwriter, producer, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. He just released his first single, “STYLE” and will be releasing his first album, “Say Something” soon.

He has collaborated with several LGBTQ+ non-profits, including company managing for the Mondays Artist Collective, and has produced events with icons such as Broadway’s Daphne Rubin-Vega & RuPaul’s Dragrace stars Alexis Michelle, Peppermint, & Shuga Cain. Some career highlights include curating a French jazz lounge for Tommy Hilfiger’s holiday staff party at Webster Hall, lead-producing and hosting a full summer cabaret series in Kennebunkport, Maine, and publicly debuting “Kindergarten Teacher,” a new song written for Reefer Madness the Musical.
Known for his powerful voice (influenced by legends ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Judy Garland to Jazmine Sullivan), EJ’s covers span jazz, rock, pop, funk, and blues, while his original music embodies soul-pop with a passionate, belting style. A true showman, he inspires audiences to embrace their voices, find courage in the face of hardship, and leave every performance empowered. Whether through his rich, jazz-inspired sound or magnetic stage presence, EJ’s message is clear:
