‘General Hospital’ Rena Sofer Reveals Twists In Baby Storyline

Brook Lynn and her mom are keeping a huge secret that will rock Port Charles once it is exposed. General Hospital star Rena Sofer spilled some twists and turns that are coming soon in the BLQ baby secret storyline. Keep reading to find out what to expect from the storyline.

Brook Lynn & Chase Struggle To Conceive

Fan-favorite couple Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) finally tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony last year on the soap. They have been trying to grow their family but Brook Lynn hasn’t been able to get pregnant yet.

Chase recently discovered that he’s sterile and is the reason why she hasn’t conceived yet. He took the news hard and expressed his concerns to Brook Lynn that he wouldn’t be able to give her the family life she wants.

But Brook Lynn had some shocking news to share with her hubby. She’s been pregnant and had given birth before. She told him about falling pregnant as a teenager and giving the baby up for adoption. Or so she thinks.

As viewers know, Brook Lynn’s baby is Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) is the father. Her mother, Lois (Rena Sofer,) also knows the truth and has been hiding it from her daughter for years.

Lois Actress Shares Reaction To Huge Secret

Seasoned soap viewers realized Gio was Brook Lynn and Dante’s son long before it came out on the soap opera. It turns out that Lois has kept her grandson hidden from Brook Lynn and the rest of the Quartermaine family.

The actress, who has played Lois off-and-on for over 30 years, reacted to Lois keeping such a huge secret. During a chat with Soap Opera Digest, she pointed out Lois’s hypocrisy.

“What’s interesting to me is that Lois left Port Charles because she did not want to raise her daughter with the lies and deception of the Quartermaines. She’s been living on that high horse for quite a long time, and now she’s going to have to deal with the fact that she isn’t on that horse anymore,” – Rena Sofer, Soap Opera Digest.

She went on to defend her character, noting that keeping the secret wasn’t “malicious.” But will Brook Lynn and the rest of those involved see it that way?

General Hospital Star Rena Sofer Teases Twists In Secret Baby Storyline

As of right now, only viewers and Lois know the truth about Gio and Brook Lynn’s connection. But she won’t be able to keep the secret for much longer. This is a soap opera, after all.

The secret getting exposed will ripple through Port Charles and extend beyond the Quartermaine family. “It’s going to be Ned and Olivia [Lisa LoCicero] and Sonny [Maurice Benard] and Dante and Tracy [Jane Elliot] that are all going to have a say in the story. It plays out very slowly,” the actress said about the fallout from the secret.

But according to Rena Sofer, something else will come between Brook Lynn and Lois before the baby secret comes out. She hinted to SOD that “someone comes to Port Charles and the story around that causes Brook Lynn to become really angry at Lois.”

Brook Lynn has always had a close relationship with her mother. How do you think the secret will damage their relationship?
