“Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes,” she said about the nuptials. JoJo Siwa added, “I mean, obviously our relationship’s very new. We’re creeping up on our one-year anniversary. So we’re getting there, but we’ve got time. And obviously, I think that marriage is, of course, in Chris’ hands, and so when he feels the time is right, I’ll be ready.”
Says He’s Her ‘Soul Mate’
The DWTS alum told PEOPLE that Chris Hughes is her “soul mate.” The relationship is somewhat new, but she thinks it will last forever. She said they didn’t have specific plans to celebrate their anniversary but would mark the occasion somehow.
JoJo Siwa joked that she was “kidding” about marrying him immediately. She said that when the time is right, they’ll know. “I think that when it’s meant to be, it is, and when it’s meant to be, it’ll be right,” she told the outlet about her future with Chris Hughes.
In the meantime, she has a new song coming out on April 7 inspired by their romance. “Well, our lives connecting and meeting are like serendipity. It’s my favorite word, so I had to write a song about it,” she said about her new single, “Serendipity.”
