Where is popular and dependable On Patrol: Live host Dan Abrams? He is a staple of the Reelz series, yet he was noticeably absent on Friday, August 22nd, and again on Saturday. So, where could he be? Keep reading for more details.
Where Is Dan Abrams?
This week, On Patrol: Live had a very special guest, Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin. Viewers have long loved him and wished he would return more often. Yet, Tom Rizzo has been an incredible replacement, despite fans still missing Sticks and his commentary. Sheriff Curtis Wilson is back after a hiatus that had people scratching their heads, and now, Dan Abrams has been absent since Friday, August 22nd. Yes, he has other endeavors, and this is not his only job, but there is no answer for his whereabouts. Filling in for him is anchor Ashleigh Banfield, who worked as a commentator when Dan was climbing up the ranks.

It is now the second night that Ashleigh Banfield is covering for Dan, and fans are confused. The first evening, they wondered why Sticks had not taken over the hosting duties. That would make the most sense, or even for Curtis to step into Dan’s shoes. Admittedly, not having Dan around has been a hard adjustment, and bringing in a female host is a hard transition. Viewers have headed to social media to share that they miss Dan Abrams and his commentary. However, someone had a theory that made perfect sense.
The On Patrol: Live community noticed that Dan takes a weekend off before the show has a short hiatus. Given that next weekend is Labor Day, it could all add up. Many also do not care for Ashleigh Banfield and do not feel she is the right host for the show:
- Absolutely love this show. But Ashley Banfield is so bad at hosting, the show is almost unwatchable. There’s a reason why she was replaced on Live Rescue with Matt Iseman.
Missing Dan
As of now, it is unclear the exact reason why Dan Abrams is MIA from On Patrol: Live. It would have been nice to know that he was on vacation or working on his new restaurant. Then, viewers would not be scratching their heads as they are this weekend:
Hopefully, everything is okay and he is just taking some much-needed time off. Time will tell if that is the case, and if the show will be on vacation for the upcoming holiday.
