Oklahoma Ambulance Driver Dies In Accident
Woodward County is mourning the loss of one of its own first responders as an ambulance and a semi truck collided. It has left the ambulance driver deceased, with three injured, in the late afternoon of Thursday, September 11th, 2025. The ambulance was on its way to Oklahoma City when this occurred, and it has been devastating in its wake. Dewey County Sheriff Clay Sander gave the update and shared the path that the ambulance was heading. More so, he noted that one person was declared deceased at the scene, while two were taken to the hospital via ambulance.

Finally, the third was taken to Oklahoma City via a helicopter, so this is a very serious situation. As of now, the names of those injured and deceased have not been revealed. Of course, this is because the authorities are making sure the families are aware before anyone else and the general public. That is respectful, yet followers of the story were not happy that photos were being shared:
- From every first responder every where….please don’t post photos. This is one of our own and shouldn’t be posted publicly.

However, it seemed essential for Woodward County to share as much information as possible without giving away names. After this happened, Woodward Sheriff Keith Fruitger had this to say about the incident and was clearly at a loss:
“I am grieving for the loss of our EMS paramedic and for their family. It’s nothing but heartbreak lately and I am grieving for them.”
Prayers have been asked for the Oklahoma victims and the families who are terrified right now. More so, this is a call no one ever wants to get, but the names should come out within a matter of hours.
