‘The View’ Joy Behar Begs President Trump To Be On Show

‘The View’ Joy Behar Begs President Trump To Be On Show

The View came under fire earlier this year for welcoming only liberal or Democratic guests. The talk show faced backlash because it was initially meant to present a balanced view of different political ideologies when Barbara Walters founded the show in 1997. After opening the doors to more Republicans, Joy Behar extended an invitation to one of the show’s harshest critics. She asked President Donald Trump to join her as a guest. Keep reading to find out what prompted this shocking olive branch.

The View Welcoming More Conservative Voices

Fox News cited a poll earlier this year that revealed that The View had welcomed over 100 liberal or Democratic guests but zero Republicans. When the ABC talk show returned for Season 29 in September, it spotlighted conservative voices, including actress Cheryl Hines, whose husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., serves as the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

In early November, Republican House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene stopped by for a chat. A once loyal supporter of President Trump, she publicly spoke out against his foreign policies over the last few months and bashed Congress for dragging its feet in releasing the Epstein files.

She had a cordial debate with the hosts of The View. However, President Trump blasted her on social media for appearing on the daytime talk show.

“Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green grass turns brown when it begins to ROT!), betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left, performed poorly on the pathetic View, and became the RINO that we all know she always was,” he ranted on Truth Social.

The rift with President Trump led to the MTG resigning from her job of representing the 14th District, which includes Dalton, Georgia, in the House of Representatives, effective in January 2026.

On Monday’s episode, the hosts of The View shared their reaction to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s sudden resignation.

Several Members Of Trump Family Appeared On ABC Talk Show

The current hosts of The View represent the spectrum of politics, including the Republican and Independent Parties. However, the hosts have been outspoken against President Trump and his administration.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked in Trump’s first administration, blasted MTG for resigning. “I have mixed feelings about this because, as a voting member of Congress, as feckless as Congress may seem, as unpopular as it is, you do have some power in it. And it feels like she’s bowing out of the fight too quickly,” she said.

The hosts also addressed the belief that the resignation came after President Trump withdrew his support as punishment for Marjorie Taylor Greene appearing on the show.

Ana Navarro, who is a lifelong Republican but anti-Trump, pointed out that several members of the President’s family have appeared on the show as guests or co-hosts. “I’d like to take this moment to remind Trump that his daughter Ivanka has been on six times, Melania has been on four times, once she was a guest co-host. Ivana Trump was on two times, Donald Trump Jr. has been on, when he was hocking his book, even Marla Maples has been on, you know, the second ex,” she said.

Ana Navarro added, “So if being on ‘The View’ is such a bad thing, maybe he should start by saying it to his family over Thanksgiving.”

Joy Behar Extends Invitation To President Trump

Joy Behar is one of the more outspoken hosts of The View when it comes to the President. In an unexpected olive branch, she invited him to come on the show and talk about Marjorie Taylor Greene’s resignation.

Fox News reached out to the White House for a comment, but hasn’t heard back yet. But it seems unlikely that President Trump will let the invitation go without a response.

A week ago, many would say that Donald Trump appearing on The View was out of the question. But he welcomed New York City’s mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, to the Oval Office after threatening to deport him.

Stay tuned for Trump’s response to the shocking invitation. Tell us in the comments if you think he should accept.
