Audiences have listened to various discussions on The View over the years. During a recent episode of the talk show, the co-hosts weighed in on a current issue impacting various Americans. Whoopi Goldberg, in particular, surprised various fans with her reaction to the discourse.
Whoopi Goldberg Has Been Part Of The View Since 2007
Goldberg is known for her career as an actress and a comedian. However, many currently know her best as the co-host of The View.
Goldberg joined the long-running talk show in 2007, serving as moderator and co-host. Currently, her fellow co-hosts are Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

During a recent episode of The View, Joy Behar criticized President Donald Trump for appointing the “most unqualified administration” in American history, in her opinion. The episode originally aired on December 2, but also re-aired on December 22, with the show being on hiatus until early January.
During the discussion, Behar claimed that Sean Duffy, who is known for serving as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation and NASA’s acting administrator, is an MTV Real World alum. She also highlighted how Secretary of Education Linda McMahon was previously the CEO of the WWE.
Behar also took issue with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services, claiming his lack of a medical background is a problem. However, Goldberg took the time to offer Kennedy some advice. Whoopi shared, “I have eyedrops that I take every day because my eyes are funny. In the United States, it cost me $1,000. You know what it costs in Europe? €20.” We don’t know if Whoopi’s insurance covers it or if she personally pays $1000.00 per month.
During The Discussion, Goldberg Shared, ‘That Is Not America First’
“So, RFK, you really want to do something for the people? You really want to get people understanding what could be done with the power of the government? Make sure we’re not overpaying insanely for our drugs. Why are we paying the way we are? Fix that!”
Behar joked that the trip to Europe to buy the drops would be “worth it.” However, Sunny Hostin pointed out that most people couldn’t afford to do so.

Goldberg continued, “I would like to go to Europe, not having to worry about not having my medication. Do you know how many medications in this country go for that much money? A lot of them. That’s one of the things they’re trying to do to us. They’re trying to choke us out of our medication. That is not America first.”
