‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Walks Away With Heated Words

‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Walks Away With Heated Words

Whoopi Goldberg returned to The View this week after a two-week absence. She didn’t waste any time jumping right into a hot topic. The longtime moderator walked away from the table with heated words when a discussion became too much. Keep reading for all the details.

Whoopi Goldberg Returns To The View

Daytime talk show viewers may have noticed that Whoopi Goldberg hasn’t been on The View for two weeks. Unlike Joy Behar’s recent absence, Whoopi Goldberg’s was a planned event. She was in Italy, but not for a vacation.

The Oscar-winning actress was filming a guest stint on Italy’s most popular soap opera, Un Posto Al Sole. Her multi-episode arc airs in 2026. She teased that she might return to the soap opera in the future. But for now, she’s back on the daytime talk show and ready to discuss what’s been happening in the U.S. since she was gone.

    Panel Discusses Boat Attacks

Rumors circulated this summer that The View was facing cancellation if they didn’t tone down the political rhetoric. Those rumors were clearly false. The hosts of the ABC talk show haven’t shied away from discussing the current administration and everything that’s been going on in the last few months.

In September, the U.S. began an air strike campaign on Venezuelan fishing boats in the Caribbean. Allegedly, the boats smuggle drugs. So far, over 80 people have been killed in the ongoing strikes. Attention was recently drawn to the first strike, where survivors were allegedly bombed a second time on the orders of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Congress is investigating allegations that Pete Hegseth ordered the second strike with the words, “Kill them all.” He denies the allegations.

Some people are upset about the whole operation, including some of the hosts of The View. The Trump Administration admits that there was a second bombing to kill survivors, but says it was self-defense in the war on drugs. That answer didn’t sit right with Whoopi Goldberg and some of the other hosts.

They talked about it on Tuesday’s show. Sara Haines compared it to “flat-out murder.” Whoopi Goldberg took the position that the White House blamed Admiral Bradley for the order because they plan to pardon Pete Hegseth. She walked away from the table during the heated discussion.

Longtime Moderator Walks Away With Heated Words

Whoopi Goldberg is prone to outbursts during the Hot Topics segment. However, instead of falling on the table in shock, she decided to demonstrate the White House’s stance on the bombings of the “drug boats”.

She stood up and walked away from the table for a physical demonstration of Pete Hegseth allegedly throwing the Admiral under the bus. “See this? See the bus over there?” she asked before swinging her arm in the direction she had just pointed to.

“They threw that admiral right under the bus,” she added for anyone who didn’t understand what she was demonstrating. “What’s so sad is, when you’re really a leader, you take responsibility and accountability for the wins and the losses, for all the decisions that are made. That’s true leadership,” Sunny Hostin added about the lack of accountability.

The hosts of The View will likely keep discussing the bombings on the drug boats as the investigation continues.
