A new Vanderpump Rules spin-off has been confirmed. It seems like Lisa Vanderpump is ready to provide viewers with an all-new show. Sure to be full of drama, the new show might be taking a look at the goings-on at SUR, Lisa’s Hollywood restaurant. Here’s what has been revealed so far.
Is There A Vanderpump Rules Spin-Off In The Works?
TMZ reported that there were cameras at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant in West Hollywood. Sources close to the new project say that filming is underway at SUR for a new show. Production started over the last couple of weeks.
The pilot will include all-new faces. Each of the people on the new show will be employees at SUR, which is how Vanderpump Rules started over 10 years ago. The OG show started with Jax Taylor, Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder, Tom Sandoval, and others who worked with Lisa.
The new cast will include hosts, servers, and bartenders at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant.
According to the source, none of the current Vanderpump Rules cast will be involved in the new project. However, the pilot hasn’t officially been picked up by Bravo or any other network.
What Does This Mean For Other Lisa Vanderpump Projects?
Whispers about the new project have some fans concerned though. If the new show is greenlit, what will happen to Vanderpump Rules? Well, there is some good news.
The new program is slated to be a spin-off, not a reboot of the original series. It has been reported that VPR will return for season 12. Production for the new season will start this fall.
This announcement comes after production was paused on the Bravo show. There was too much drama happening among cast members to successfully shoot the show. It seems like the drama has blown over enough for them to continue filming in a few months.
TMZ also reported that it is possible the producers are only testing the employees at SUR. They could be attempting to see if any of them might work well on the cast for the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules.
Bravo has been hard at work trying to figure out a way forward for the series now that much of the cast isn’t getting along.
As fans know, Lisa Vanderpump is keeping herself busy with other projects right now too. Season 2 of The Valley recently wrapped up filming and will cover the tense breakup and divorce between Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor.
Lisa also has her hand in Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa. It was previously reported that Stassi Schroeder joined the cast for the Hulu project.
On top of that, Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules will pick back up and start filming in the coming months.
