Millions React To Newly Proposed Bill That Bans Male Autonomy

Well, men of America, buckle up.

Mississippi Sen. Bradford Blackmon has sponsored a bill called the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act.”

The proposed legislation would prohibit a man from masturbating unless it is intended for procreation only.

That means if you want to masturbate in Mississippi, it better be within the confines of a fertility clinic to make a baby!

It also includes criminal charges for people who violate it. The bill proposes to make it “unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material (sperm) without the intent to fertilize an embryo, effectively criminalizing certain male reproductive behaviors.”

Violators wouldn’t face jail time, only monetary penalties in the amount of $1,000 for the first offense, $5,000 for the second, and $10,000 for three or more offenses.

If you’re still in shock that this is an actual thing, here are the specific details:

“BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1.

    (1) This section shall be known and may be cited as the ‘Contraception Begins at Erection Act.’

    (2) It shall be unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.

    (3) Upon conviction of a violation of this section, a person shall be fined:

    (a) One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) for a first offense; (b) Five Thousand Dollars ($5000.00) for a second offense; and

    (c) Ten Thousand Dollars (10,000.00) for a third or subsequent offense.

    (4) This section shall not apply to the discharge of genetic material:

    (a) Donated or sold to a facility for the purpose of future procedures to fertilize an embryo; and

    (b) Discharged with the use of a contraceptive or contraceptive method intended to prevent fertilization of an embryo.”

And although everyone has been a bit taken aback after hearing this…

    Women are having a TIME!!!

And not just AMERICAN women, ALL women.

They are making TikToks about the bill, racking up millions of views and generating lots of ideas, too.

Although legitimately introduced, the bill aims to highlight the disparity between male and female autonomy.

And it is intended to be a reaction to some of the ridiculous laws concerning women’s reproductive health.

Last week, President Trump signed an Executive Order prohibiting federal taxpayer money from funding elective abortions. He also reintroduced the “Global Gag Rule,” a comprehensive policy that is expected to limit access to abortion services in various countries worldwide.

Although it is unquestionably unlikely, if Gov. Tate Reeves approves the bill, it’ll be enforced on July 1.
