A Dream Come True: Jacklyn Collier Talks Co-Producing A Little Women’s Christmas

Bringing a creative vision to life on screen requires a rare mix of artistry and strategy—a seamless blend of passion and precision. For A Little Women’s Christmas, the journey to bring it to life was as magical as the film itself. The movie premiered on Great American Family in December 2024 and was a hit with both the network and its viewers.

As of January 2025, A Little Women’s Christmas is available to watch on Philo (with a subscription), Amazon Prime Video via the Great American Pure Flix channel, Frndly TV (stream live or on-demand with a subscription), or by checking upcoming airings on Great American Family.

In our conversation, Jacklyn shared the behind-the-scenes magic of A Little Women’s Christmas, the importance of building the right team, and her joy in creating a film that resonates with audiences.

Set against the idyllic backdrop of Franklin, Tennessee—where every street feels like a postcard—this project became a true labor of love for a cast and crew deeply connected to the story. Actress, influencer, and first-time producer Jacklyn Collier turned her childhood love of storytelling into a career, crafting meaningful, joy-filled films. With this heartwarming holiday movie, she embarked  on an exciting journey as a co-producer.

In this interview, Jacklyn and I delved into the story behind A Little Women’s Christmas, the magic of building the perfect team, and the joy of creating something truly special.

Meghan Forte: How do you ensure the film aligns with its original creative vision while staying within budget?

Jacklyn Collier:  We were very lucky with this film because it was a passion project for the cast, crew, and creative team. People worked for less money than they usually would because they believed in the story and wanted to work with the team. Franklin is such a charming, lovely town and we were able to film B Roll of the city during Christmas of 2023, so we didn’t have to figure out how we would make it look like Christmas in downtown Franklin because it actually was during Christmas time. We filmed the movie months later in the summer. I am so grateful for everyone who came together to make the magic happen.

Meghan Forte: What inspired you to become co-producer, and how did you get your start in the industry?

Jacklyn Collier: I actually worked as co-producer on this movie, which for this project meant that I brought the script to the team at True Brand Entertainment, worked on the development of the script and the project itself, and helped with casting. I actually got into producing because I love the team at True Brand and wanted to make more movies with them. When I filmed The Engagement Plot a few years ago, I knew that this group of people was special and I want to make sure we continue to be collaborators and friends. I got my start in the industry doing community theatre when I was 5 years old – I always wanted to be an actress. After working at Hallmark Channel doing their podcast for two years, I realized how much I love this community and enjoy telling these stories.

Meghan Forte: What skills do you consider essential for someone aspiring to be an executive producer?

Jacklyn Collier: It’s really important to be a connector. I feel like it’s a bit like being a matchmaker! You think of who will connect with each other well and what types of energies you want on the project. It’s also necessary to be able to see the big picture, stay calm and optimistic, and make sure to connect with everyone on the project to make sure they feel understood.

Meghan Forte: What is your strategy for ensuring that each film reaches its audience and achieves financial success?

Jacklyn Collier: Making sure the project finds the right home is really important. It is also very special if the cast is willing to share their experiences with their following on social media. With A Little Women’s Christmas, the women shared such a genuine bond with each other – that came through on screen as well as what they shared online.  The marketing of the film is so important because you want to attract an audience that the project will resonate with, and our marketing and publicity team did such an incredible job.

Meghan Forte: What made being a part of A Little Women’s Christmas a unique experience for you personally?

Jacklyn Collier:  This was my first time being a producer on a film and getting to be involved in the process from the beginning. Dione Sheehan, the writer of the film, is such an extraordinary person. When she sent me the script I was so touched by the wonderful story that she crafted. Working with her on this project was truly a dream come true and I have a friend and a new little sister for life.

As of January 2025, A Little Women’s Christmas is available on Philo, The Roku Channel, Amazon Prime Video (Great American Pure Flix channel), and Frndly TV, with additional airings on Great American Family. Whether it’s the holiday season or not, this heartwarming film is a must-watch for its message of love and togetherness. You can still enjoy this heartwarming film after the holidays, so don’t miss out on the magic of the season, no matter when you tune in.

A heartfelt thank you to Jacklyn Collier and the entire cast and crew for bringing holiday magic into our homes. Speaking with Jacklyn offered a glimpse into the love, passion, and teamwork that brought this project to life. Her journey from actress to producer is a testament to the power of meaningful stories and the importance of building the right team to bring them to fruition.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of holiday films or new to the genre, this movie is sure to remind us of the magic of the season—and the importance of telling stories that bring us together. Grab some hot chocolate and watch A Little Women’s Christmas!

Special thanks to Jacklyn Collier for the exclusive interview and for sharing your insights with Social Lifestyle Magazine. Don’t miss this heartwarming holiday gem, available to watch long after the season ends!
