Once Lexi Wilson left Lady Michelle during Below Deck Mediterranean season 6, she departed the yachting industry for good. When Lexi first joined the series, she immediately connected with the third stew, Courtney Veale. The two bonded over family issues they had at home. Specifically, Lexi had lost her father three months before beginning the new job on one of the best reality TV shows, whereas Courtney’s father had been battling Alzheimer’s disease. Soon after bonding, Lexi became the number one enemy on the boat. While Lexi is no longer on the show, Below Deck Med season 8 premiered in September.
After getting back from their crew night out, Lexi became very drunk and ended up disrespecting all of her crewmates. Not only did she talk back to chief steward Katie Flood and bosun Malia White, but she also got into a physical altercation with deckhand Mzi Dempers. Lexi was fired from Below Deck Med towards the end of the season following a verbal altercation with Chef Mathew Shea, which the whole crew was happy to see. What happened to her after the show?
Lexi Wilson Left Yachting After Below Deck Med Season 6
After departing Lady Michelle, Lexi left the yachting industry for good. While it is unclear what she is up to now in her career, Lexi has enjoyed traveling. After she left Croatia two seasons ago, Lexi jetted off to Saint Lucia, where she spent her birthday. Lexi returned to Miami, where she learned to play tennis at the Fisher Island Club. Miami is where Lexi claimed to own an $8,000-per-month condo and likely lives there full-time. However, Lexi spent some time in Newport, Rhode Island, in July 2021, where she did some much-needed decompressing after Below Deck Med season 6 began airing.
Lexi Wilson Is Now Allegedly Engaged
Lexi avoided sharing updates while Below Deck Med season 6 aired new episodes every week. Once in a while, she would do Q&As on her Instagram Stories, but she mostly trashed the crew and production. Besides that, it seems Lexi got engaged shortly after filming Below Deck Med and deleted her Instagram. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen from August 2021, Malia revealed that she heard Lexi was engaged to a very wealthy man. “I mean, I did see she just got engaged to a pretty wealthy man,” the bosun said. The identity of Lexi’s fiancé is still unknown, and she has not confirmed or denied that she is engaged. She has no known social media presence.
Now that Below Deck Mediterranean season 6 is long over, Lexi is likely excited that she no longer has to deal with the backlash she has been receiving. She has left the industry behind, as well as the internet, after deleting her Instagram. It seems almost impossible for anyone to consider her return to the spotlight.
Will Lexi Ever Return To The Below Deck Franchise?
Since it’s been almost four years since Lexi appeared on Below Deck Med, it seems very unlikely that she will ever return. Lexi didn’t have the best season during her time on the show, so her return would be the biggest shock in Below Deck history. She essentially bad-mouthed almost everyone on the boat, and many of the crew members didn’t love her attitude. Lexi also wasn’t the best Stew, so she had no redeeming qualities. Not to mention the backlash she received from viewers; let’s just say she wasn’t a fan favorite.
Below Deck viewers don’t enjoy watching someone who not only can’t do their job but doesn’t get along with the crew. Lexi hit both of these negative points, so her return wouldn’t be welcomed. However, fans can be rest assured that Lexi won’t be returning since she quit yachting shortly after the season premiered. She has moved on with her life and has no interest in going back to yachting or even returning to reality TV. If Lexi does ever return to the Below Deck franchise, it might be as a guest. Her time on the show was short-lived, but at least she was entertaining.
What Is Lexi Up To In 2024?
Since Lexi has zero social media presence after her time on Below Deck Med season 6 came to an end, it’s difficult to pinpoint what she’s been up to in 2024. After she was fired, Lexi went off on her crew members from the season. She mainly went after Chef Mathew. In an Instagram post from September 2021, shared by belowdeckaboveaverage, Lexi called out the chef for berating her about her love lie, suggesting she was dating a rich guy. However, Lexi never disclosed her relationship status to Mathew, which also was not shown on Below Deck Med.
She also added that she planned on filing a restraining order against Mathew. Lexi said she goes to Rhode Island often, where he lived at the time, and didn’t want to risk her safety. As for whether that restraining order was ever filed is unknown as of November 2024. Lexi also called out Deckhand David Pacoe in the since-deleted Instagram Stories from 2021. She called him out for essentially saying she was an incompetent stew when David wasn’t even a part of the interior team. Lexi told David to stay in his department and basically out of her business.
While Lexi’s whereabouts are unknown in 2024, it’s clear she was misrepresented in many ways during her time on Below Deck Mediterranean season 6. Lexi may be a princess, but the crew treated her terribly on and off the show. Hopefully Lexi is in a much better space in 2024, away from reality TV.
