Why RHOBH’s Erika Jayne Feels ‘Dehumanized’ By Bravo Fans

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne expresses disappointment in how viewers saw her throughout her legal battle and during last season.

Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is finally speaking out about how hurt she was by how fans treated her when she was caught up in legal issues. Erika has been quite prickly when it comes to fans’ opinions about her. Now the singer is ready to put viewers in their place.

For months, Erika had been keeping a relatively low profile while trying to sort out her life. But every time she left her home, the paparazzi were relentless. Cameras caught Erika pumping her own gas, shopping at TJ Maxx, and even doing a KFC family bucket run. Along with the photos, followers shared their strong opinions of Erika, which were not always that kind. Viewers wanted to know how much Erika knew about Tom Girardi’s embezzlement charges and often felt that she was hiding information. While Erika often had to stay quiet, fans didn’t like that and usually let her have it.

Now, Erika is more than ready to reveal just how hurt she was by RHOBH fans’ reactions. While talking to ET, she revealed that she felt let down by followers, noting they “dehumanized” her. Erika pointed out that the court of public opinion was not a “good place to be,” sharing it was often hard to navigate the murky waters. For months now, Erika has blamed the sensationalized headlines for her troubles, claiming that when fans don’t have all the facts, they believe the media. But it didn’t help that Erika would often post sensational headlines of her own, which showed her not caring about any of the victims.

Erika shared that she feels many RHOBH followers believe that she doesn’t care about the allegations against her. According to Erika, she is “fighting for her life,” but viewers still have a negative opinion of her. This season of RHOBH is showing Erika feeling a bit more optimistic about the road ahead. The “Pretty Mess” singer is trying her best to take it one day at a time as she has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel.

The most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills showed her enjoying a day out in Mexico and even getting drunk on a boat. Erika also seems to be working on her issues with her fellow cast members like Sutton Stracke. Fans will recall that Sutton didn’t believe that Erika knew nothing of her husband’s wrongdoings. Even though Erika is not done with her legal battle, she is trying her best to enjoy the little things in life.
