Growing Signs That Pete Hegseth Is On Thin Ice After Trump Cancels Public Execution

Growing Signs That Pete Hegseth Is On Thin Ice After Trump Cancels Public Execution

Pete Hegseth was one of the main people in the administration pushing for the Iran war. Hegseth has been behind the US blowing boats killed hundreds of people in the Carribean. The Pentagon is thought of by both Republicans and Democrats in Congress as a mess, and Democrats are counting down the days until they take back the House majority and impeach Trump’s Secretary of Defense.

Hegseth appeared to be trying to save his job with a plan to publicly execute and livestream the killing of the Fort Hood shooter.

After a new poll showed that 81% of Americans oppose the livestreaming of the execution, Donald Trump pulled the plug on Hegseth’s plan.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, and tried to throw Barack Obama under the bus:

Nidal Malik Hasan, a former U.S. Army Major turned traitor, is a very bad and evil man, who killed 13 people, including a pregnant soldier, who died, along with her unborn son, and injured, very seriously, 32 more innocent people. Barack Hussein Obama’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intercepted electronic communications between Hasan and the radical Yemeni-American cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki. When reviewed by his FBI terrorism task force, investigators concluded that Hasan’s emails were not a threat. This assessment of the Obama Administration’s actions was later considered to be a key intelligence failure.

It is a classic sign of a Trump deflection when he blames Obama or Biden.

Trump doesn’t seem to care about much of anything, but vandalism and corruption, so for him to overrule Hegseth on this is an ominous sign.
