Even though it is a certainty that Trump will lose when this goes to court, the president followed through on his threat to ban reporters from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House.

This was Trump’s response on Friday when reporters pointed out to him that when he did this during his first administration, he lost in court:

I think it’s good. I think it’s good to point it out whether it survives or doesn’t. I mean, I don’t think a court should allow… Depends on the judge you get, to be honest with you.

I don’t think that a court should allow fake news to be written day after day after day. I think that somebody has a right to keep them away if they’re gonna write false stories all the time.

Trump admitted that he is likely to lose in court, so he hopes to get a MAGA judge who will rule in his favor.

On Saturday morning, reporters from CNN and MS NOW showed up for work and were denied access to the White House, and also had their badges confiscated.

CNN’s Betsy Klein reported, “I asked him if he could provide an explanation as to why it had been deactivated. He said he had no further information. I asked him once more if he had any more details he could share with me, and he said that I should be referred to the White House Press Office.”

Politico also had its access denied on Saturday.
