Trump Administration Gets More Pathetic By Blaming Barack Obama For Diesel Prices

It has been nearly ten years since Barack Obama concluded what many regard as one of the great presidencies in US history and the most successful of this century so far.

When Obama was in office, Republicans blaming Obama was one of the running jokes on the internet. If a Republican lost his car keys, there was a good chance he would blame Obama. Spouse filed for divorce? That’s Obama’s fault too. Republicans would try to pin anything on Obama.

Thank you for reading this free story from PoliticusUSA. You can support our work by becoming a subscriber.

Donald Trump is looking at a disaster of a midterm election, so with no policies to run on and everything else failing, the president and his administration have returned to blaming Obama.

Last week, House Republicans blamed Obama for gas prices. This week, the administration is blaming Obama for diesel prices.

    Video:

Trump Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on The Charlie Kirk Show:

You just want robustness. You need some redundancy. You need some extra capacity. And again, from the arrival of President Obama, the Democrat policy has just been to somehow strangle the oil and gas industry and the coal industry and somehow believe that would lead to a magical replacements for these energy sources. They just don’t exist.

But that strangulation, years of strangulation, just meant our buffer for crisis was reduced so much that now we have multiple conflicts in the world today, and we’re paying the price for that. But the, the Republicans, again, and President Trump are leaning in.

We’re growing our energy production. We’re helping refineries expand. In fact, I was at a nuclear power plant in Ohio yesterday. We’re helping that uprate add two hundred megawatts of additional power. We visited a steel plant that makes custom steel just for transformers, key for our electrical grid. That steel plant was almost closed and killed under Democratic rule as well.

So look, the Republican agenda has never been more important. Build big things in America. Grow supply. That’s how you lower prices. Democrats never believe in supply and demand. They somehow think they’re gonna choke supply and that that’s gonna help prices.

The idea that America can increase the supply of oil and lower the price is one of the biggest falsehoods consistently spread by Republicans. Oil is a global market. The United States government does not drill for or refine oil. Oil extracted in the United States belongs to the oil company that holds the lease on the land. There is no such thing as “American oil” or American supply.

Trump did strangle supply with the Iran war. That’s why prices are higher. If this is Obama’s fault, why were prices low during his administration?

The Trump administration has no answers, so they are trying to fire up the MAGA base with racism by blaming Obama.

    It’s not going to work.

What do you think about the Trump administration blaming Obama for gas prices? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.
