What a Dope: John Fetterman Tweets Image Holding 4/20 Flag, Celebrating Marijuana Holiday

What a Dope: John Fetterman Tweets Image Holding 4/20 Flag, Celebrating Marijuana Holiday

Senator John Fetterman tweeted an image of himself holding a 4/20 flag in celebration of yesterday’s stoner holiday, indicating his continued support for cannabis legalization.

The Senator can be seen sporting his signature hoodie, as per usual, while he holds the flag in question.

It consists of the number ‘420’ and several marijuana plant leaves.

“It’s 4:20 on 4/20. That’s the tweet,” he, or somebody controlling his Twitter feed, wrote.

This makes the fact that he actually knew what time it was and had the mental capacity to coordinate his post the most impressive thing he’s done in his short career in the Senate.

Perhaps Fetterman’s obsession with pot explains why he constantly looks like he just rolled off the couch in his mother’s basement and was forced to go to work at a job he doesn’t really want.

In a tweet earlier in the day on 4/20, Fetterman posted his support of unionization for medical marijuana workers.

“You know what goes great with some weed? A Union,” he wrote.

You know what goes great with a sitting Senator? A suit. Decorum. Pride in their job.

Not looking like some frat loser holding up a 4/20 flag.

Fetterman’s post prompted some support, but also a whole lot of mockery.

Donald Trump Jr. described the image as “literally a ‘this is your brain on drugs’ moment.”

Blaze TV personality Sara Gonzales called the image “pathetic.”

“The position of a senator is supposed to be one of the most well-respected, honorable positions in the country,” Gonzales said.

“We’ve gone so far downhill that it’s been reduced to a vegetable wearing basketball shorts holding a banner encouraging drug use.”

“You know that you’re a senator, correct? Like you’re not in a college frat,” political commentator Carmine Sabia responded. “Stop dressing like you are … stop acting like you are.”

To Be Blunt, Fetterman is a Disgrace

Interestingly, a study published in the National Library of Medicine indicates evidence of cannabis as a risk factor for stroke.

This is not a suggestion that Fetterman is indulging on the 4/20 holiday or any other days for that matter. Nor is it a suggestion that cannabis use played a role in his many health ailments, including the stroke he suffered last May.

But maybe as a sitting Senator, he should be informing the public of potential risks – especially risks he can personally relate to – instead of acting like he’s a high school stoner attending a Snoop Dogg concert.

Fetterman chaired a Senate subcommittee hearing on food stamps this week after returning from a six-week stay in the hospital where he was treated for severe clinical depression.

His opening speech sounded like somebody speaking at a 4/20 convention.

Fetterman has been a longtime proponent of cannabis legalization, both as Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania and as Mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania.

“It’s long past time that we finally decriminalize marijuana,” Fetterman said in a 2022 press release where he discussed going on “a marijuana legalization listening tour.”

Polling indicates overwhelming support for the legalization of cannabis, the results of which have turned nearly every Democrat-run city or state that has already into a stench-filled contact high for everybody who happens to be in the area.
