To say Lamar Odom has had an interesting life would be an understatement. This is especially true when it comes to the hardships he has faced. In recent years, he’s become more and more open to talking about what was going on in the dark periods of his life. Now, he’s talking about Kris Jenner and how she sent him to rehab. Keep reading to learn more about what happened.
Lamar Odom Ruins His Relationship
Lamar Odom has made it no secret that he loved Khloe Kardashian deeply, and the same goes for Khloe. The pair had a whirlwind romance. They fell in love quickly, got married quickly, and seemed to have the perfect life. However, behind the scenes, Lamar was using drugs. His addiction was causing him to do horrible things, including going on trips with other girls and cheating on the supposed love of his life.
In the past, he’s talked about how much the Kardashian/Jenner family did for him. While this presumably mostly refers to Khloe, as she literally had to make life-changing decisions for him (even though he was her ex at the time), he also speaks highly of Kris Jenner during this period of his life.
Now, he’s going into detail about Kris and how she set him up for rehab.
Going To Rehab
During the same trip mentioned above, Lamar did drugs with the woman he was traveling with. However, he got so out of hand that the woman got scared and ended up having to call the Kardashians for help. This is when Kris knew it was time to step in, Parade reports.
Apparently, upon his return after the trip, Kris was the first to find him, he recalls.
“I get back to the girl’s house, put some coke on the table, I’m sniffing a line, and I just see a head come around the corner, and the lady says, ‘Lammy!’ And it was their mother,” he says.
She had already arranged a transport to a rehab facility. Clearly, Kris wasn’t playing around when it came to Lamar’s life and her daughter’s heart. Not to mention the Kardashian name.
“I was f–ked up. They took me straight to San Diego [to rehab]. It was like six SUVs outside because I’m doing drugs, and they probably didn’t know what they were going to run into. They were trying to protect me,” he says.
Clearly, while this was an act of love, things continued to spiral until Lamar was found unconscious later in a brothel.
